Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Testament to a New Dawn: Time of Revelation' is a unique collection of transcribed messages from ascended masters and other non-physical intelligence. They are relayed through mind transference [trance] through the medium of Michael D Champion. The messages contain guidance, teaching, philosophy, mathematical formulations, parables and topical information all pertaining to our present way of life and how, if we continue upon our present course, it will affect not only the continued existence of the human race, but the whole of the planet and all life upon it. Some messages will seem quite harsh, but they are brought forward in a loving manner, just as a parent may speak to a wayward child to set him or her upon the correct path of life. It is time to learn to live together as one co-operative civilisation. If we could somehow achieve this, perhaps the suffering we see around the world at this time may be less. In the three volumes of 'Testament to a New Dawn' we are given hope of a new world to come, but it is only by learning from the past and our current situation, that we can move forward to a better future. The teachings given are profound and although there may appear to be a religious theme at times, this should not be shied away from. The messages are non-denominational and acknowledge that all faiths are as one. We must learn to recognise the universal consciousness that is attainable to everyone through prayer and meditation. The messages given in all three volumes of 'Testament to a New Dawn' are from beings who are desperately trying to gain our attention. Knowledge is key if we are to survive in the future.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, the author builds on a simple premise and ideology that everyone wants to get to heaven but too many are failing to do the works that are required to get there. He likens the eventuality of that person reaching their goal to one being on a journey having no map or well-thought-out plans of the proper route to take. As a result, they become derailed in a quest for the eternal goodness. They become twisted and mangled in thoughts and deeds, beguiled by an adversary who wants to take them in another direction. And the job of the adversary is made easy, because he seduces and paints the false picture that the secular pleasures in life are rather what is fulfilling and brings these to fruition center stage in their lives any and all such things to do with an unscrupulous social life and the full works, to include marriage and divorce in which they get caught up and led astray. He also does not omit to administer the sweet pills of greed, pride, and selfishness. At the end of the day, what it boils down to is that one can otherwise miss the mark on their journey, particularly if they figured they could reach their destination based upon wishful thinking only and not play by the rules. The reading has been made very interesting by lots of humor built in, but there is nothing fictional about the rules we ought to adhere on this journey.

Now, with Motorcycle Touring in the Pacific Northwest, bikers have an unparalleled guide describing forty classic rides across the quintessential landscapes of Oregon, Washington, and Vancouver/British Columbia—from the rugged Pacific coast to breathtaking islands, from rain forests to deserts, from the Cascades to the Rockies. In friendly prose peppered with anecdotes, sidebars, and interesting asides, Christy Karras and Steve Zusy describe the routes—most representing a day’s worth of riding—and include a map for each, color photographs, and details aplenty on road conditions and terrain, sites worth stopping for, amenities, and side trips.

Book excerpt: The purpose of this manual is to provide clear and helpful information for maintaining gravel roads. Very little technical help is available to small agencies that are responsible for managing these roads. Gravel road maintenance has traditionally been "more of an art than a science" and very few formal standards exist. This manual contains guidelines to help answer the questions that arise concerning gravel road maintenance such as: What is enough surface crown? What is too much? What causes corrugation? The information is as nontechnical as possible without sacrificing clear guidelines and instructions on how to do the job right.

Book excerpt: 'A rollicking good yarn about a national icon... well worth the journey.' Herald Sun In 1853, a young American arrived in the new colony of Victoria hoping to make his fortune from the world's greatest gold rush. He soon realised where the real money was to be made, and established a coach company that would eventually carry his name onto every household in the land: Cobb & Co. But Freeman Cobb himself was long gone by the time the company bearing his name became an Australian legend. Wild Ride is the story of the two extraordinary men, James Rutherford and Frank Whitney, who along with their business partners took Freeman Cobb's humble company and made it into an Australian legend. These were pioneers, carving a path through otherwise impassable terrain, settling unsettled land, enduring bushrangers and terrible accidents, and making their fortunes. The Rutherford and Whitney families became two of the most significant of their era, unrivalled in their influence and, finally, vicious in their falling out. Written with unprecedented access to these families' letters and diaries, Wild Ride reveals the Cobb & Co story in all its drama, conflict and tragedy. It is the compelling and human story of Australia's first great company and the people who made it an icon. 'A lively, popular history with broad appeal, Wild Ride is full of colourful detail and anecdotes.' The Age

Book excerpt: "Calling for a reimagining of how the United States manages its infrastructure, Build takes readers on a revealing tour behind the scenes of the successes and debacles of key projects-from roads, bridges, and ports to water systems and airports-to show what works, why we've failed in recent decades to invest in infrastructure, and why the private sector can help the United States once again lead in infrastructure development. In a series of colorful, rarely told cases, economist and infrastructure investor Sadek Wahba walks the reader through the little-known processes-including the ins-and-outs of infrastructure management, ownership and regulation-that define American infrastructure. He examines the private origins of US infrastructure and the federally funded megaprojects that followed the New Deal-and investigates the role that the private sector can and should play in infrastructure. By drawing comparisons with systems in the UK, France, India and China, Wahba shows that while privatization and public-private partnerships cannot solve all infrastructure challenges, they can open up major and large-scale infrastructure advancements. Build will appeal to anyone interested in US finance, politics and domestic policy, the role of the federal government, tax policy, municipal government, green technology, or stories about American cities"--
