Not when it's Justin--the only person I'd ever loved--who now hates me. When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise. The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago. The same teenager who's now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match"--Page 4 of cover.

Book excerpt: University of Aurora wasn't my first choice to pursue my photography degree, nor was some random apartment with three bros my first choice for housing. Yet here I am, surrounded by mountains on campus and three hot, but annoying - and sometimes downright hateful - bros in Seth, Hunter, and Lucas at home. I'm trying to ignore it all: the mess, the wild parties, and the fact that they pass the same woman between them like some kind of trophy. Yet as each day goes by, my hot, annoying, alpha-hole RoomHates are somehow turning into something that I can't seem to resist.

Book excerpt: For women-identified writers of both eras, the fantastic offered double vision. Not only did the genre offer strategic cover for challenging the status quo, but also a heuristic mechanism for teasing out the gendered psyche’s links to creative, personal, and erotic agency. These dynamic presentations of female and gender-queer subjectivity, are linked in intriguing and complex matrices to key moments in gender(ed) history. This volume contains essays from international scholars covering a wide range of topics, including werewolves, mummies, fairies, demons, time travel, ghosts, haunted spaces and objects, race, gender, queerness, monstrosity, madness, incest, empire, medicine, and science. By interrogating two non-consecutive decades, we seek to uncover the inter-relationships among fantastic literature, feminism, and modern identity and culture. Indeed, while this book considers the relationship between the 1890s and 1920s, it is more an examination of women’s modernism in light of gendered literary production during the fin-de-siècle than the reverse.

Between financial struggles, marital issues, health scares, and the regular, run-of-the-mill problems of everyday life, it’s easy to feel weighed down and trapped by your circumstances. In times like these, it’s tempting to just throw in the towel and quit. Well, don’t do it! Perry Noble has stood at the edge of the abyss himself, and in Overwhelmed, he shares the keys to unlocking the chains of anxiety and despair once and for all. Building on the premise that when we shift our focus from our circumstances to Christ, everything changes, Perry walks readers through a life-altering plan for overcoming stress, worry, depression, and anxiety so we can be free to enjoy the abundant, joy-filled lives we were created for. God knows we’re frustrated. He knows we’re tired. He knows we’re struggling. But He also knows how things are going to turn out. He is greater than anything you are going through . . . so don’t give up on God. After all, He’s never given up on you.

Book excerpt: Captured, brutalised and held captive as a serious security risk, Quincy Emerson once again finds herself in the grips of the sinister city of Oasis. In her way stand the walls of the Colosseum, a maximum-security prison. Escape, they say, is impossible. With the city on the brink of anarchy, rumours of a rebel group powerful enough to take down Oasis abound. Could this be Quincy's one last shot at freedom? Or will her determination to seek revenge on Oasis' deceptive leader ultimately destroy her? Praise for Oasis, the prequel to Genesis 'Eilís is dazzlingly bright and articulate.' Irish Examiner 'Our newest literary star.' Irish Independent 'This futuristic sci-fi echoes Margaret Atwood and yet was written by a 16-year-old from Galway. Expect great things from this young, brilliant writer.' Image 'A high-paced page-turner ... Eilís is an intellectual powerhouse.' Irish Mail on Sunday 'An assured dystopian debut. On the promise of this page-turning debut, the sequel will be worth waiting for.' Sunday Business Post

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through the years I never thought about writing, but I have always stored away certain sayings that I found interesting. One of those titles was, where the timbers cross, and I always thought it would make a good story. The problem was how to put a story with some of these sayings. It was almost five years before I came up with the story that goes with the book title. I wrote two stories in 1997 and put them in a folder and forgot about them. I happened to give a cousin the stories and ask him to read them. I assumed he would do what I would have done and put them in a drawer and forget about them. I talked to him a few weeks later and he had made copies of the stories and given them to neighbors, relatives, and pastors. I then started hearing from the readers of the stories asking for more stories. My third story was written in 2015. Then I was asked about a book, so here we are. This book is composed of thirty-five Christian fiction stories. Even though the stories are fiction, many are based on true happenings I have come across over the years. Even though my name is on the book, God wrote the stories.

There's nothing unusual about a new family moving in at 91 Trinity Avenue. Except it's her house. And she didn't sell it. Fiona Lawson is sure there's been a mistake when she comes home to find strangers moving into her house. She and her estranged husband, Bram, have a modern coparenting arrangement: bird's nest custody, where each parent spends a few nights a week with their two sons at the prized family home to maintain stability for their children. But the system built to protect their family ends up putting them in terrible jeopardy. In a domino effect of crimes and misdemeanors, the nest comes tumbling down. Now Bram has disappeared, and so have Fiona's children. As events spiral well beyond her control, Fiona will discover just how many lies her husband was weaving and how little they truly know each other. Bram's not the only one with things to hide, though, and some secrets are best kept to oneself, safe as houses.
