La prima, necessaria in tutte le aziende, può essere condotta con strumenti di analisi dell'organizzazione del lavoro di tipo check list in grado di suggerire, in caso di rischio, il tipo di azione correttiva. La seconda, che si effettua solo quando le azioni correttive adottate risultino inefficaci, prevede il ricorso ai metodi tradizionali di rilevazione della percezione soggettiva. Ma non basta. Perché nel maggio 2011 il Dipartimento di medicina del lavoro dell'Inail (ex Ispesl) ha pubblicato un nuovo manuale per la valutazione dello stress che aggiorna la precedente proposta metodologica del marzo 2010. Il volume spiega, nel dettaglio, in che modo gestire lo stress lavoro-correlato, presentando le check list per la valutazione preliminare integrate e modificate secondo le indicazioni della Commissione consultiva. Ancora più importanti le schede che affrontano il tema delle azioni correttive proponendo, per ogni elemento di stress rilevato dalla check list, i possibili interventi da adottare. Al volume, infine, è allegato uno strumento di valutazione pratico e di facile utilizzo che assiste l'operatore nella compilazione delle check list, consente l'identificazione del livello di rischio e suggerisce le corrispondenti azioni correttive.
