Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Resonancia Magnética Nuclear by : Javier Mencias

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis MRI of the Pituitary Gland by : Jean-François Bonneville
Download or read book MRI of the Pituitary Gland written by Jean-François Bonneville and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-04-26 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This clinically oriented book will familiarize the reader with all aspects of the diagnosis of tumors and other disorders of the pituitary gland by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The coverage includes acromegaly, Cushing’s disease, Rathke cleft cysts, prolactinomas, incidentalomas, nonsecreting adenomas, other lesions of the sellar area, hypophysitis, and central diabetes insipidus. Normal radiologic anatomy and the numerous normal variants are described, and guidance is also provided on difficulties, artifacts, and other pitfalls. The book combines concise text and high-quality images with a question and answer format geared toward the needs of the practitioner. MRI is today considered the cornerstone in the diagnosis of diseases of the hypophyseal-hypothalamic region but the relatively small size of the pituitary gland, its deep location, the many normal anatomic variants, and the often tiny size of lesions can hinder precise evaluation of the anatomic structures and particularly the pituitary gland itself. Radiologists and endocrinologists will find MRI of the Pituitary Gland to be full of helpful information on this essential examination, and the book will also be of interest to internists and neurosurgeons.

Book Synopsis Focal Therapy in Prostate Cancer by : Hashim Uddin Ahmed
Download or read book Focal Therapy in Prostate Cancer written by Hashim Uddin Ahmed and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2011-12-27 with total page 213 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book comprehensively reviews the potential of focal therapy and discusses why the changing face of prostate cancer warrants a change in the way we treat men with the disease. It deals with the mechanisms by which disease can be localized within the gland and then the different technologies used for focal ablation. Bringing together eminent contributors in one accessible reference, this book introduces focal therapy to all urologists, oncologists, and radiologists who are involved in the treatment of men with prostate cancer.
Book Synopsis Quantitative MRI of the Brain by : Paul Tofts
Download or read book Quantitative MRI of the Brain written by Paul Tofts and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2005-08-19 with total page 650 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2004 BMA Medical Book Competition Winner (Radiology category) “This is an exciting book, with a new approach to use of the MRI scanner. It bridges the gap between clinical research and general neuro-radiological practice. It is accessible to the clinical radiologist, and yet thorough in its treatment of the underlying physics and of the science of measurement. It is likely to become a classic.” British Medical Association This indispensable 'how to' manual of quantitative MR is essential for anyone who wants to use the gamut of modern quantitative methods to measure the effects of neurological disease, its progression, and its response to treatment. It contains both the methodology and clinical applications, reflecting the increasing interest in quantitative MR in studying disease and its progression. The editor is an MR scientist with an international reputation for high quality research The contributions are written jointly by MR physicists and MR clinicians, producing a practical book for both the research and medical communities A practical book for both the research and medical communities “Paul Tofts has succeeded brilliantly in capturing the essence of what needs to become the future of radiology in particular, and medicine in general – quantitative measurements of disease.” Robert I. Grossman, M.D. New York, University School of Medicine (from the Foreword)
