Book excerpt: Living a life of thanksgiving means appreciating life's events: from the minute to the fullest. Thanksgiving is not just the last Thursday of November, where we overindulge in rich food; rather, it should be a time for a specific purpose with an assignment to make a difference. This means every waking moment should be full of thanksgiving and gratitude. But why? And how? As a passionate kingdom seeker, author Eunice Badaki talks about how our lives are given to us as a gift. We have been given great stewardship over our lives, and every action, word spoken, and decisions made will be accounted for before the lord, Jesus Christ. Christ gave up his life so that we could live; therefore, we should treat our life and the lives of others with the utmost respect. Thanksgiving is the act of worshipping and appreciating the Almighty God who gave us life. We all have challenges as a result of being part of a broken worldly system. However, we have the opportunity to orient our thought processes toward a more meaningful and purposeful existence. Badaki eloquently shares her beliefs, supported by Biblical scriptures, that with the right attitude towards God and our fellow human beings, we can live with gratitude, appreciation, reverence, honor, praise, and worship.

Book excerpt: When you finish reading this practical work by Zachary Crofton on biblical repentance, you might say to yourself, “I’ve never repented.” That’s the kind of impact he is going to have on you if you read this work even in a cursory manner. In order to have a deeper walk with Christ, repentance is at the heart and life of the sinner who walks comfortably with God. However, repenting, reordering and realigning your fallen mind to sit in connection with God’s will, is not as simple as praying a prayer, as some would have you believe. Crofton says that repentance is a “sense of, and sorrow for sin, as committed against God.” The sinner must spread himself before the Law of God to survey the entire course of his own life. He needs to weigh himself in the balance of God’s perfection. The Gospel-sinner knows he is imperfect, and in view of God’s Law, which shows him his sin, he comes away not just lacking in some spiritual and moral goodness, but sees the utter viciousness of his nature against God’s prescription for holiness. He then sentences himself as accursed of God, agreeing that the Law is right and good, and he knows that he is “bound” to experience God’s Divine fury for his sin in hell by God’s justice which is just and good. He not only sees that he is a true sinner before God, but sorrows under his understanding of sin, and is “ashamed of such a sad and sinful state.” He comes to learn that repentance is a supernatural gift given to him from God, and that he must turn from sin and confess his sin. This kind of repentance is necessary to remove the wrath and judgment of God and to “answer the call of the gospel,” which requires everyone to repent. Crofton explains the characteristics of true biblical repentance from 2 Corinthians 7:11. There are eight characteristics that he covers: godly sorrow, care, clearing of ourselves, indignation, fear, vehement desire, zeal and revenge against sin. And, finally, Crofton demonstrates 10 points which show how you, reader, might gain godly repentance, completely soaking the sinful heart in the blood of Jesus, with great speed, and earnestly looking for repentance only at the hands of God. This is not a scan or facsimile, has been updated in modern English for easy reading and has an active table of contents for electronic versions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Repentance is a gift—because coming to the realization of ourselves as sinners opens our hearts to the gospel. And while consciousness of our sins is uncomfortable, it is also a cause for hope. In those feelings of guilt, says popular Scripture commentator Kevin Perrotta, God is calling us to return to him. The first three sessions of this Bible study are designed to spur readers to reflect on their own experience of recognizing their sins and taking action against them. The second three sessions focus on Jesus, who calls us to grow in love beyond anything that is easy or comfortable for us—and enables us to do it by nourishing us with himself.

Book excerpt: Thanksgiving isn't a season; it's a lifestyle!Psalm 100:4 says, Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Sadly, many people have limited thanksgiving and praise to the four walls of the church or the annual holiday many celebrate across America. Unfortunately, that doesn't even scratch the surface of the totality of the power, effect and fruit of thanksgiving, when applied correctly. The first in a series of books on the power of thanksgiving, praise and worship, Unlocking the Heavens through Thanksgiving establishes a baseline of understanding of the principle, power and practical application of a lifestyle of thanksgiving toward God in everyday life. Whether you are a newly engaged seeker of God, a seasoned believer and companion of God, or leading others into this lifestyle of truth, you will experience more intimacy in your spiritual life and develop a stronger connection with the supernatural through accepted biblical disciplines of thanksgiving, praise and worship. In this book, you will glean wisdom on:?How to practice the power of thanksgiving as an ongoing life principle? How to unlock and accelerate kingdom success through effective application of thanksgiving ?How your attitude and actions reflect a life of thanksgiving? How to utilize the principle of thanksgiving to unlock doorways to destiny and deliverance? And more!
