Book Synopsis Recent Developments of Electrodeposition Coating by : Andrzej Zieliński
Download or read book Recent Developments of Electrodeposition Coating written by Andrzej Zieliński and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2021-08-31 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This e-book presents a selection of papers focused on some novel aspects of electrodeposited coatings, in particular for medical applications. The biocoatings applied for surface modification of load-bearing implants are still being developed, especially for titanium implants, for which hundreds and thousands of possible technical solutions have been proposed using different techniques and materials. This book is a collection of papers that demonstrate appropriate attempts using various electrodeposition methods. The specific objectives are different, with several looking for improved bioactivity, another for antibacterial properties, and another for increased adhesion on the helix lines on dental implants. The e-book starts with a paper on the methodic development of electrodes for electrowinning. This is followed by paper on the real performance of the surface of dental implants, a subject not often addressed. The next paper focuses on electro-oxidation: a novel two-stage oxidation method, characteristic of the oxide layer on helix line of a model dental implant, and micro-arc oxidation of 3D printed titanium. The last paper focuses on coatings, describing the carbon nanotubes- (hydroxyapatite, chitosan), Eudragit-, and Fe-containing coatings. The e-book concludes with a review of all electrodeposition methods. It is a collection of papers describing novel results in electrodeposition biocoatings, which will be of interest for many scholars and researchers.
Download or read book Electrodeposition written by J. W. Dini and published by William Andrew Publishing. This book was released on 1993-01-01 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Electrodeposition allows the "tailoring" of surface properties of a bulk material or, in the case of electroforming, the entire part. Deposits can be produced to meet a variety of designer demands. For this reason and for the possibilities that exist in terms of "new materials" for a variety of applications, a thorough understanding of the materials science of electrodeposition is of utmost importance. This book provides that understanding.
Book Synopsis Modern Surface Engineering Treatments by : Mahmood Aliofkhazraei
Download or read book Modern Surface Engineering Treatments written by Mahmood Aliofkhazraei and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2013-05-22 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Surface engineering can be defined as an enabling technology used in a wide range of industrial activities. Surface engineering was founded by detecting surface features which destroy most of pieces, e.g. abrasion, corrosion, fatigue, and disruption; then it was recognized, more than ever, that most technological advancements are constrained with surface requirements. In a wide range of industry (such as gas and oil exploitation, mining, and manufacturing), the surfaces generate an important problem in technological advancement. Passing time shows us new interesting methods in surface engineering. These methods usually apply to enhance the surface properties, e.g. wear rate, fatigue, abrasion, and corrosion resistance. This book collects some of new methods in surface engineering.
