Book excerpt: Los factores psicosociales pueden afectar negativamente la salud y el bienestar de los trabajadores, convirtiéndose en factores de riesgo psicosocial. En la actualidad estos índices han aumentado, debido al tiempo que las personas están invirtiendo en su actividad laboral. La fatiga laboral, carga mental, trabajo en equipo y estrés laboral tipifican como factores psicolaborales. Un tipo de estrés laboral corresponde al síndrome de Burnout, cuyos rasgos principales son el cansancio emocional, la despersonalización y una disminución de la realización personal. Se realizó un estudio con 31 profesionales del área de la salud conformados por enfermeras y técnicos enfermeros de nivel superior en un CESFAM de la ciudad de Los Ángeles, con el objetivo de determinar la influencia de los factores psicolaborales en la presencia del síndrome de Burnout en estos funcionarios. La metodología utilizada para evaluar los factores psicolaborales fueron el método ESCAM para carga mental, los cuestionarios CIS y MBI para fatiga laboral y síndrome de Burnout, respectivamente; y un cuestionario de elaboración propia para trabajo en equipo. Los resultados determinaron niveles generales bajos para las variables carga mental y fatiga laboral, mientras que trabajo en equipo presentó niveles altos. La mayor presencia del síndrome de Burnout se presentó en el grupo de enfermeras. Respecto de las correlaciones entre las variables psicolaborales sobre las dimensiones del síndrome de Burnout para el grupo de los TENS, se evidenció una asociación entre cansancio emocional con dimensiones de carga mental y trabajo en equipo. Para el grupo de las enfermeras, se evidenciaron correlaciones entre la dimensión cansancio emocional del síndrome de Burnout y carga mental.
