Pretende-se, ainda, que o modelo seja capaz de identificar, mensurar e informar o valor econômico do ativo humano e do patrimônio líquido da empresa, após cada evento econômico que envolver capital humano, bem como o valor dos investimentos nele realizados, o retorno e o tempo de recuperação desses investimentos. Basicamente as grandes questões na gestão do ativo humano podem ser: identificar e mensurar o seu valor econômico; informar aos gestores o capital humano disponível na organização para que possa ser otimizado; mensurar o impacto sobre o resultado econômico da empresa proveniente do desenvolvimento das pessoas; estimar o retorno e o tempo de recuperação de investimentos no capital humano e tratar as questões de sucessão de empregados mantendo-se a produção ideal de bens e serviços. Baseando-se na bibliografia existente sobre essas questões, percebe-se que os gestores não têm um apoio satisfatório do ponto de vista contábil para administrar e tomar decisões que envolvem o capital humano, bem como identificar e mensurar o seu valor econômico.
