Download or read book Professionalisierung zur systematischen und nachhaltigen Personalentwicklung mit strategischer Orientierung written by Patrick Adler and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. The topic of human resources development is becoming increasingly important due to several reasons, such as the lack of skilled employees and executive managers, the increase in competition due to economic internationalisation, the need for coping with increasing requirements of qualifications and knowledge on the market, the fight for talent and, along with this, the demographic change. Measures of human resources development play an important role here, as they have a positive influence on personnel recruitment, appropriate qualifications and long-term employee retention. Recent approaches, such as the concept of sustainable human resources management, view the work force of a company as a long-term success factor that should be utilised effectively using an employee focussed

Book Synopsis Educational Authorities and the Schools by : Helene Ärlestig
Download or read book Educational Authorities and the Schools written by Helene Ärlestig and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-05-28 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book describes and analyses the organisation, functions and development of national educational authorities and agencies and the influence they have on local schools in 20 countries around the world. It examines the governing chain in the respective countries from both a theoretical and descriptive perspective. It does so against the background of the stability and rigour of the governing chains having been challenged, with some researchers considering the chain to be broken. However, the view that comes to the fore in this book is that the chain is still present and contains both vertical implementation structures and intervening spaces for policy interpretation. How schools become successful is important for the individual students as well as the local community and the national state. A vast quantity of research has looked at what happens in schools and classrooms. At the same time, national governance and politics as well as local prerequisites are known to exert influence on schools and their results to a high degree. Societal priorities, problems and traditions provide variety in how governance is executed. This book provides an international overview of the similarities and differences between educational agencies and how their work influences schools.

Book Synopsis Work, Education and Employability by : Philipp Gonon
Download or read book Work, Education and Employability written by Philipp Gonon and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2008 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a strong relation between work and education in modern societies. On the one hand education is needed as a basic qualification for work and contributes fundamentally to the integration of individuals into the labour market and society. On the other hand the potential of learning in the working process is highlighted, for instance in the recent debates about informal learning or employability. This volume contains papers delivered at the conference «Work, Education and Employability» which took place in Ascona in December 2006. The contributions offer different perspectives on the theoretical and historical impacts of the relation between work and education. They also provide analyses of recent developments in the field.

Book Synopsis Professionalism in Early Childhood Education and Care by : Carmen Dalli
Download or read book Professionalism in Early Childhood Education and Care written by Carmen Dalli and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-09-13 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The professionalism of the early childhood sector has gained prominence on the policy agendas of many countries. National pedagogical frameworks or curricula and an upsurge of pathways to gaining or upgrading qualifications has led to a pervasive terminology of professionalism. Yet, despite the pervasiveness of this terminology, the question of what professionalism means in early years contexts remains open to debate. This book draws together the work of an international group of scholars who have engaged with this question. They ask: How can professionalism be conceptualised in early childhood settings? How might one act professionally in increasingly diverse and changing social and cultural contexts? Do we have a common ground of understanding about these terms? Are there key concepts that can be agreed upon? Drawing on research and experience across a wide range of national contexts, this book seeks an understanding of early childhood professionalism in local contexts that might throw light on the global implications of this term. This book was published as a special issue in the European Early Childhood Education Research Journal.

Book Synopsis Competence Development in Controlling and Management Accounting by : Stephan Schöning
Download or read book Competence Development in Controlling and Management Accounting written by Stephan Schöning and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-04-12 with total page 339 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is considered a guideline for systemic personnel development in controlling of nationally and internationally active companies on the basis of a targeted development of competencies. In particular, the challenges posed by digitalization and globalization are considered and substantiated with the help of empirical studies. Employees and managers in controlling as well as HR managers in companies gain a deeper understanding of the necessity and the components of systematic personnel development. The goals are the formation of high-performance teams in controlling as well as the identification of personal career paths on the way to top management tasks as CFO. The focus of the personnel development model is on the transfer of the competence-oriented development approach, which, in addition to the traditionally considered technical and methodological competencies, also takes into account social and personal competencies as well as additional digital and intercultural competencies. The book is rounded off by a survey of the current situation, the definition of a target situation to be aimed at, the discussion of suitable further training measures and the monitoring of the level of competency achieved, and illustrates concrete career concepts.
