Book excerpt: Resumen: La presente investigación pretende identificar y describir los procesos de comunicación que se generan entre la población sorda y oyente del contexto de educación superior de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. En este sentido, para la construcción del tema de investigación se determinaron las variables que se identifican en los elementos del modelo de comunicación de Roman Jakobson, como son los actores (emisor-receptor), el canal, el código, el mensaje, la retroalimentación (feedback o interacción), y el contexto (tiempo y espacios de comunicación). La investigación se enmarca en un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño de tipo descriptivo, y un muestreo no probabilístico e intencional, el cual proporcionó una muestra representativa de la población a partir del establecimiento de criterios de inclusión y exclusión de acuerdo a las necesidades del tema de estudio. Para la recolección de la información se aplicó una encuesta que indagó las variables expuestas, en 8 estudiantes sordos, 70 compañeros de estudio oyentes y 25 docentes que hubieran compartido espacios de enseñanza y aprendizaje con los sordos...
