Este texto se ha desarrollado en el marco de una experiencia de enseñanza no presencial que se ha llevado a cabo en los referidos estudios. Por este motivo, contiene gran cantidad de ejercicios resueltos (136), de ejemplos de casos prácticos (58), de cuestiones cualitativas y cuantitativas (310) y de problemas guiados (21), que se proponen al lector con el objetivo de provocar una reflexión y una profundización de los conceptos presentados.
