Book excerpt: Excerpt from Practical Uses of the Wave Meter in Wireless Telegraphy In its original form this work was first privately printed for reference use at the Army Signal School, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and, in 1912, was, by direction of the Secretary of War, adopted for use at that school. The text has since been carefully revised and amended, and in its present form is now published for commercial and technical school use. The author desires to acknowledge his indebtedness to Prof. G. W. Pierce for his careful criticism of the manuscript and for the many suggestions that have added materially to the correctness of the present edition. The authors thanks are also due to Mr. E. R.
