This book was released on 2022-07-12 with total page 36 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Doch was bedeutet ein nachhaltiger Lebensstil eigentlich?

This book was released on 2020-04-28 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: How is it possible to sustainably implement the ideas of the Right Livelihood Award – also known as the “Alternative Nobel Prize” – in educational and teaching methods of learning as part of future-oriented teacher training? This book addresses this issue in the form of a combination of articles from both an academic and school-related point of view. Education researchers, subject educationalists, expert scientists and teacher trainers present exemplary formats with which prospective teachers can be qualified for the wide-ranging requirements imposed on them as part of globalization and internationalization. In the formats, the contents of Right Livelihood – especially questions concerning ecology, social justice and peace – are addressed in a manner that is age-appropriate and related to experience. Moreover they are dealt with in an interdisciplinary context. The objective is to jointly incorporate the subject of Global Learning as Part of Education for Sustainable Development in the teacher education course and to realize it directly at the chalk face.

Book excerpt: There has been much debate in recent times between the Anglo American tradition of curriculum studies and the Continental and North European tradition of didactics (Didaktik). As important as such debate has been, this book seeks to add new voices to the debate representing ideas and traditions from a different part of the world. The focus is on Chinese curriculum thinking that has passed through a number of stages and currently represents a blend of some aspects of the American tradition and Chinese cultural traditions. How does Chinese thinking about curriculum, teaching and learning resonate with European didactic traditions and what are the implications for theorizing an expanded field of curriculum studies? This book deliberately transcends borders and cultures to explore new territory, to provide a platform for open dialogue and to open up new areas of investigation Chapters include, Curriculum Reform and Research in China: A Social-Historical Perspective What Mathematics Did Teachers Learn? Comparison of the School and the Pre-Service Teacher Mathematics Curricula in Germany and Taiwan Living in Parallel Worlds: A Transatlantic Dialogue between General Didactics and Instructional Design
Book Synopsis Universities, Sustainability and Society: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals by : Walter Leal Filho
Download or read book Universities, Sustainability and Society: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals written by Walter Leal Filho and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-05-03 with total page 560 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In order to yield the expected benefits, sustainability initiatives need to be undertaken by means of a close cooperation between universities on the one hand, and societal partners on the others. The principle of co-creation and co-execution of sustainability initiatives increases the value for all by mutual learning, and the sharing of expertise and resources. But pursuing sustainability initiatives with a community and societal involvement is not simple. There is a perceived need for a better understanding of how universities can interact with society, in order to support the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This book is an attempt to address this need, by a novel approach which focuses on current potentials and challenges, across a wide range of fields and expertise. The book focuses on how the theory and practice of sustainable development interact and shows the need for a continuation of the dialogue among sustainability academics and practitioners, so as to address the issues, matters and problems at hand. The spectrum of themes addressed on this book also entails how environmental values and ethics are applied and the relationship between social, biological and cultural diversity. It also includes a broad disciplinary approach to sustainability, including education, research and case studies, and the links with human–environment relations in a sustainable development context.
