But I do feel that lectures on a subject like this should be carefully revised, corrected, with quotations fully noted and expressions balanced, which 1 have not been able to do. I have left the notes practically just as they were taken down by the shorthand writer, only making such alterations as the sense required, or where there had been a misunderstanding of what was said.
