Download or read book TOTALLY PISSED OFF written by Robert “Bobeye” Inabinette and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-02-14 with total page 499 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our government has been pissing me off for years and finally it boiled over. Both parties have been creeping towards Socialism for years. Obama and the Democrats have socialism on steroids! The Republicans have been more subtle about it. I thought we had some hope when the Republicans gained the House. Speaker John Boehner is not much better than Pelosi. He caved on the debt ceiling and gives too much ground to Obama. Obama, his Czars and 98% of the Democrats are the most corrupt gang of thieves in history. The reason the government hates the Mafia and drug cartels is because they are competing with our government. With subsidies and the printing of money by the Feds $ billions or $ trillions have disappeared into a “black hole.” There are millionaires being made within our government. There is no accountability at all. A Republican House is allowing this to happen. Bernie Madoff will spend the rest of his life for doing the same thing in the private sector.
Book Synopsis The Lou Conter Story by : Louis A. Conter
Download or read book The Lou Conter Story written by Louis A. Conter and published by Wheatmark, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-01-25 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Lou Conter Story: From USS Arizona Survivor to Unsung American Hero tells the incredible story of one of the last remaining survivors of the USS Arizona. More than just a recollection of the events that transpired in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, this book also records the author's memorable experiences before and after the Day of Infamy. Conter was on the USS Arizona deck when a Japanese armor-piercing bomb hit one million pounds of gunpowder stored in the ship's hull. He helped rescue crewmen following the explosion and dove into the wreckage to recover bodies in the days after. In 1942, Conter went to flight school where he earned his wings and became a VP-11 Black Cat pilot. He helped rescue over two hundred Australian Coastwatchers stranded in northern New Guinea and was shot down twice -- once swimming with his crew while sharks circled. Conter also helped rescue over two hundred Australian shore watchers up the Sepik River in New Guinea. After World War II, he became an intelligence officer, flew combat in Korea, created the Navy's first SERE program (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape), and served as a military advisor to presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson. Lou Conter shares his Pearl Harbor experiences with high school students throughout Northern California, and he returns to the USS Arizona every December to take part in National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day activities to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor. In 2019, Conter was one of only three remaining crew members out of the 335 who had survived the attack on the USS Arizona. He was the only survivor able to attend the memorial event.
Book Synopsis The Diary of a Pissed Off Mom by : Victoria Novicke

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Diary of a Pissed Off Mom is just that. Follow me through my journey of motherhood. My story is of a young woman becoming a mother, growing with children and a husband. I share with you the joys, sorrows, trials and tribulations of all that goes with parenting. I am sharing with you the reality of the “And They All Lived Happily Ever After”..... The truth is, that fairy tale idealism is a load of bullcaca. I didn’t realize how difficult marriage and children were. Over the years I have developed my diary not just for them to know who their mother was, but what it was like raising them. Once the teenage years arrived all preconceived thoughts and ideas of parenting strategies went right out the window. I have elaborated on events to add perspective and enlightenment to you, the reader. My wish is to help other parents realize that if you stay true to your beliefs and keep love in your heart, anything can be overcome.
Book Synopsis An A-Z of Hellraisers by : Robert Sellers
Download or read book An A-Z of Hellraisers written by Robert Sellers and published by Random House. This book was released on 2010-05-20 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An A-Z of Hellraisers is the last word on inebriated misbehaviour, and the miscreant mob in this whopper of a book constitute the most amazing grouping to see print: from Alexander the Great, whose drunken revelries once ended with the destruction of an entire city; to W. C. Fields, who passed critical judgement on a brass band by urinating over them from a hotel balcony; Dylan Thomas, who drove a sports car onto Charlie Chaplin's private tennis court; to Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, suffocating on his own vomit after consuming forty measures of vodka - what a night out that was! This hilarious volume makes for an ideal bedside companion or pub reading fodder, as it scrutinises and salutes these glorious individuals, from Winston Churchill to Keith Moon, George Best to Ernest Hemingway, Wild Bill Hickok to Sam Peckinpah, Ozzy Osbourne to Errol Flynn. Just thank God we didn't have to live next door to any of them.

Why, according to John, it's best to shave only once a week, and with old fashioned soap and water? And what the various repercussions of spring and its extra hour of daylight bring? The BBC created a fantastically cult television series when they filmed the daily operations of John and Ann's double glazing firm U-Fit, the third largest in Coventry. It was here we were first introduced to John's misanthropic musings and no-nonsense attitude to management and his wife Ann's doting loyalty. Now their individual and highly entertaining personalities have been brought to the page, as they ruminate on various aspects of life from asbos to Buddhism, and Chekov to Maltesers.

Download or read book Into Thick Air written by Jim Malusa and published by Catapult. This book was released on 2008-04-28 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Delightful debut travelogue by botanist Malusa, who cycled to the lowest point on each of six continents.” —Kirkus Reviews With plenty of sunscreen and a cold beer swaddled in his sleeping bag, writer and botanist Jim Malusa bicycled alone to the lowest point on each of six continents, a six–year series of “anti–expeditions” to “anti–summits.” His journeys took him to Lake Eyre in the arid heart of Australia, along Moses’ route to the Dead Sea, and from Moscow to the Caspian Sea. He pedaled across the Andes to Patagonia, around tiny Djibouti in the Horn of Africa, and from Tucson to Death Valley. With a scientist’s eye, Malusa vividly observes local landscapes and creatures. As a lone man, he is overfed by grandmothers, courted by ladies of the night in Volgograd, invited into a mosque by Africa’s most feared tribe, chased by sandstorms and hurricanes—yet Malusa keeps riding. His reward: the deep silence of the world’s great depressions. A large–hearted narrative of what happens when a friendly, perceptive American puts himself at the mercy of strange landscapes and their denizens, Into Thick Air presents one of the most talented new voices in contemporary travel writing. “I’ve followed all of Jim’s amazing and hilarious journeys, and I am happy to claim him as one of my favorite writers.” —Barbara Kingsolver, New York Times bestselling author “His descriptions of desert landscapes can be extraordinary . . . You can almost feel the dry gusts turning Malusa’s lips into cracked leather.” —The New York Times Book Review
