Book Synopsis Piano Songs You Can Play Today by : Linda Pallini
Download or read book Piano Songs You Can Play Today written by Linda Pallini and published by . This book was released on 2017-11-24 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Welcome to a fun and easy way to play a song on the piano! It's sort of a paint-by-numbers method but with much more satisfying results. Imagine playing a song the very same day you start learning, even if you have never played the piano before! It's super fun and rewarding.Piano lessons are often tedious. There are many things to think about-reading music on the trebleand bass clefs, counting, understanding and remembering all the musical terms, the key signature, sharps and flats, coordinating your left and right hands, pushing the pedal at the right time, and getting all those dynamics perfectly coordinated.Of course all of that is important and necessary if your goal is to study piano but if you simply want to play a song we show you how to make it fun! At Play a Song Today, we demonstrate a teaching system that lets you play a song in just one day; we bypass all the stuff that bogs you down, and right away you start playing and having fun. When you first get started just play a few notes of the song's melody. Our online videos at www.PlayASongToday.com show you how to position your hands to play the keys for each song. You can use the same fingers we use to play the keys, or you can use the fingers that feel most comfortable for you. After a while you'll soon discover that your fingers are already starting to remember their position. Once you've played and practiced a song numerous times, it's likely you won't need to look at the Key Guides or Song Sheets any longer. There are two elements to our method-Key Guides and Song Sheets. The Key Guide shows you the notes to play for a particular song.To play the song you simply match the numbers on the Key Guide with the numbers on the Song Sheet. Think of the Key Guides as training wheels on a bicycle. It's there to help train you to find the notes for the song. After a short while your mind and your fingers will learn where the notes are and you'll be able to play the songs simply by following the Song Sheet. This book contains some popular Christmas songs, each one is presented as different arrangements. You can learn to simply play the melody or you can play the chords that are arranged so you can sing the song-by yourself or with friends and family. We also included some popular kids' songs in case you want to introduce the Play A Song Today method to some young children you know.If you prefer not to cut pages from the book, you can download the Key Guides at the Play A Song Today website, www.PlayASongToday.com. Song Sheets are also available at the website.

Book Synopsis Hacking the CAGED System by : Graham Tippett
Download or read book Hacking the CAGED System written by Graham Tippett and published by Graham Tippett. This book was released on 2016-10-18 with total page 43 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Hacking the CAGED System series was inspired by my own,and other guitarist’s frustrations with the infamous CAGED System for learning guitar. It all started back in Music College in the early 2000s, at the ACM in Guildford (UK) to be precise, where we were handed, by none other than Guthrie Govan, an inch-thick binder containing all manner of shapes and patterns for the CAGED system, including chords and arpeggios. I duly slaved over the book while burning the midnight oil for an entire semester and while my technique improved no end, I just couldn’t turn those patterns into music,or connect them to what I was learning in music theory class.Fast forward to 2016, and with the benefit of hindsight from more than 20 years of playing, I’ve been able to look at the CAGED system from a different perspective, and one that will hopefully make it a useful system for anyone wishing to learn it. The CAGED system has many flaws, but these can be hacked and rectified to turn it into a powerful system for understanding how the guitar fretboard works, leading to a versatile, and above all, functional knowledge of chords, arpeggios, scales and modes, and key signatures. What’s in Book 1? Book 1 teaches you the basic major scale forms, shows you where to find the basic diatonic chords as well as seventh chords. We then venture into intervals which are the key to making your solos sound like you know what you’re doing. Next we bring out the arpeggios, and finally the modes. Everything is tied together using key signatures as a framework to build up a practical knowledge of chords, scales, arpeggios and modes on the guitar.
