Book Synopsis Laboratory Manual of Physical Chemistry (Classic Reprint) by : Albert Watson Davison
Download or read book Laboratory Manual of Physical Chemistry (Classic Reprint) written by Albert Watson Davison and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2015-07 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Laboratory Manual of Physical Chemistry In presenting this manual of laboratory exercises in physical chemistry, the authors have been prompted by a threefold object: first, to facilitate the task of the instructor in handling large classes of students beginning a course of practical physical chemistry; second, to assist the student in recording his observations in a clear and comprehensive manner; and third, to present such quantitative exercises as will be particularly desirable in the training of students of engineering. In view of the fact that there are, as a rule, available for laboratory work not more than two and one-half hours at a time, it has been found desirable to have the different pieces of apparatus set up beforehand by the instructor. To this end, each experiment is preceded by an exact list of the apparatus and chemicals needed. It is believed that this will materially aid the instructor in assembling the necessary equipment. At the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the laboratory course immediately follows the completion of the theoretical course in physical chemistry, and students are thus prepared to take up the study of any experiment herein listed. It is therefore found practical to prepare the equipment for one or two units of each exercise before the laboratory course starts, and to shift the student successively from one experiment to another. In this way, an excessive amount of preparatory work is avoided. Many of the experiments have been in use in their present form at this Institute, and elsewhere, for a number of years, and have been found to be thoroughly satisfactory. Directions have been made as concise as possible. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Book Synopsis Green Chemistry Laboratory Manual for General Chemistry by : Sally A. Henrie
Download or read book Green Chemistry Laboratory Manual for General Chemistry written by Sally A. Henrie and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2015-03-18 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Green chemistry involves designing novel ways to create and synthesize products and implement processes that will eliminate or greatly reduce negative environmental impacts. Providing educational laboratory materials that challenge students with the customary topics found in a general chemistry laboratory manual, this lab manual enables students to see how green chemistry principles can be applied to real-world issues. Following a consistent format, each lab experiment includes objectives, prelab questions, and detailed step-by-step procedures for performing the experiments. Additional questions encourage further research about how green chemistry principles compare with traditional, more hazardous experimental methods.

Book Synopsis Practical Physical Chemistry by : Dr. M. Satish Kumar
Download or read book Practical Physical Chemistry written by Dr. M. Satish Kumar and published by Sankalp Publication. This book was released on with total page 327 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Physical Chemistry deals with the relations between the physical properties of substances and their composition. The present book is intended to serve as a practical manual for undergraduate and post graduate students. I have attempted to assemble the list of experiments from my experience and also have drawn upon the experience of the students who have undergone these laboratory courses and felt the inadequacy of the existing syllabus. I am aware that I have not yet exhausted all the experiments that they wanted to place in this book but I had to make a selection keeping the size in consideration. This manual is largely structured around the standard experiments of physical chemistry. Detailed information on instrumentation, kinetics, experimental methods and data analysis has been covered. I will be happier to take all comments and incorporate them in the further editions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Experiments in Physical Chemistry aims to facilitate experimental work in the physical chemistry laboratory at every stage of a student's career. The book is organized into three parts. Part I consists of those experiments that have a simple theoretical background. Part II consists of experiments that are associated with more advanced theory or more recently developed techniques, or that require a greater degree of experimental skill. The last part contains experiments that are in the nature of investigations. This book will be useful to students to gain confidence in his ability to perform a physical chemistry experiment and to appreciate the value of the experimental approach.
