Download or read book Siglo XXI, un nuevo paradigma de la política? written by Fernando Quesada and published by Anthropos Editorial. This book was released on 2004 with total page 354 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2023-05-06 with total page 131 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis La civilización pervertida o la Etica sadomasoquista cristiana by : Javier Fisac Seco
Download or read book La civilización pervertida o la Etica sadomasoquista cristiana written by Javier Fisac Seco and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-05-14 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2011 with total page 95 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One hundred years ago a series of seminal documents, starting with the Flexner Report of 1910, sparked an enormous burst of energy to harness the power of science to transform higher education in health. Professional education, however, has not been able to keep pace with the challenges of the 21st century. A new generation of reforms is needed to meet the demands of health systems in an interdependent world. The report of the Commission on the Education of Health Professionals for the 21st Century, a global independent initiative consisting of 20 leaders from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and institutional affiliations, articulates a fresh vision and recommends renewed actions. Building on a rich legacy of educational reforms during the past century, the Commission's findings and recommendations adopt a global and multi-professional perspective using a systems approach to analyze education and health, with a focus on institutional and instructional reforms.
Book Synopsis Manifesto of New Realism by : Maurizio Ferraris
Download or read book Manifesto of New Realism written by Maurizio Ferraris and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2014-12-01 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Philosophical realism has taken a number of different forms, each applied to different topics and set against different forms of idealism and subjectivism. Maurizio Ferraris's Manifesto of New Realism takes aim at postmodernism and hermeneutics, arguing against their emphasis on reality as constructed and interpreted. While acknowledging the value of these criticisms of traditional, dogmatic realism, Ferraris insists that the insights of postmodernism have reached a dead end. Calling for the discipline to turn its focus back to truth and the external world, Ferraris's manifesto—which sparked lively debate in Italy and beyond—offers a wiser realism with social and political relevance.
Download or read book Constantino, ¿el primer emperador cristiano? Religión y política en el siglo IV written by Josep Vilella Masana and published by Edicions Universitat Barcelona. This book was released on 2015-11-17 with total page 609 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Philosophizing the Americas by : Jacoby Adeshei Carter
Download or read book Philosophizing the Americas written by Jacoby Adeshei Carter and published by Fordham Univ Press. This book was released on 2024-04-16 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Philosophizing the Americas establishes the field of inter-American philosophy. Bringing together contributors who work in Africana Philosophy, Afro-Caribbean philosophy, Latin American philosophy, Afro-Latin philosophy, decolonial theory, and African American philosophy, the volume examines the full range of traditions that have, separately and in conversation with each other, worked through how philosophy in both establishes itself in the Americas and engages with the world from which it emerges. The book traces a range of questions, from the history of philosophy in the Americas to philosophical questions of race, feminism, racial eliminativism, creolization, epistemology, coloniality, aesthetics, and literature. The essays place an impressive range of philosophical traditions and figures into dialogue with one another: some familiar, such as José Martí, Sylvia Wynter, Martin R. Delany, José Vasconcelos, Alain Locke, as well as such less familiar thinkers as Arturo Alfonso Schomburg, Hilda Hilst, and George Lamming. In each chapter, the contributors find fascinating and productive matrices of tension or convergence in works throughout the Americas. The result is an original and important contribution to knowledge that introduces readers from various disciplines to unfamiliar yet compelling ideas and considers familiar texts from novel and prescient perspectives. Philosophizing the Americas stands alone as a representation of current scholarly debates in the field of inter-American philosophy. Book Synopsis From Biocultural Homogenization to Biocultural Conservation by : Ricardo Rozzi
Download or read book From Biocultural Homogenization to Biocultural Conservation written by Ricardo Rozzi and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-02-18 with total page 481 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To assess the social processes of globalization that are changing the way in which we co-inhabit the world today, this book invites the reader to essay the diversity of worldviews, with the diversity of ways to sustainably co-inhabit the planet. With a biocultural perspective that highlights planetary ecological and cultural heterogeneity, this book examines three interrelated themes: (1) biocultural homogenization, a global, but little perceived, driver of biological and cultural diversity loss that frequently entail social and environmental injustices; (2) biocultural ethics that considers –ontologically and axiologically– the complex interrelationships between habits, habitats, and co-inhabitants that shape their identity and well-being; (3) biocultural conservation that seeks social and ecological well-being through the conservation of biological and cultural diversity and their interrelationships.
