I have twice read all that I have written, and I find no occasion to add any qualifying words, and no reason to moderate the warm enthusiasm of the captain. As the candidate for the presidency of the dominant party in the land, all of General Grants sayings and doings will be subjected to the closest scrutiny by his political opponents.
