Book excerpt: A mathematical analysis of the series resonant circuit is given. The principle of harmonic balance is applied to the differential equations for the circuit in order to obtain the steady state responses. It is shown that the circuit is a threshold device with respect to the amplitude of the driving voltage. A three phase clock system is used to drive the basic resonant circuits, which are coupled to form threshold logic. Various types of coupling between the circuits are considered. The transient response of the circuit which is closely related to the switching speed is analyzed by a series method. Two basic resonant circuits are coupled to form a flip-flop. The conditions for bistability of the coupled circuits are investigated. Possible realizations of the resonant circuit and the logic circuits are suggested, with the assumption that all necessary devices are available. (Author).

Book Synopsis Nonlinear And Parametric Phenomena: Theory And Applications In Radiophysical And Mechanical Systems by : Vladimir Nikolov Damgov
Download or read book Nonlinear And Parametric Phenomena: Theory And Applications In Radiophysical And Mechanical Systems written by Vladimir Nikolov Damgov and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2004-11-22 with total page 574 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book comprises a broad panorama of phenomena occurring in four major classes of radiophysical and mechanical systems — linear, nonlinear, parametric, and nonlinear-parametric. An analytical technique for the broad circle of issues under consideration is developed. It is presented in a user-friendly form, allowing its further direct application in research practices.Analytical methods are presented for investigating modulation-parametric and nonlinear systems, oscillating systems with periodic and almost periodic time-dependent parameters, effects of adaptive self-organization in coupled resonance systems and oscillating systems under the action of external forces, nonlinear with respect to the coordinates of excited systems.Of an interdisciplinary nature, this volume can serve as a handbook for developing lecture courses such as Fundamentals of Nonlinear Dynamics and Theory of Nonlinear Oscillations, Theory of Nonlinear Circuits and Systems, Fundamentals of Radiophysics and Electronics, Theory of Signals and Theoretical Radiophysics, Theoretical Mechanics and Electrodynamics.

Book Synopsis Nonlinear Magnetization Dynamics in Nanosystems by : Isaak D. Mayergoyz
Download or read book Nonlinear Magnetization Dynamics in Nanosystems written by Isaak D. Mayergoyz and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2009-04-20 with total page 479 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As data transfer rates increase within the magnetic recording industry, improvements in device performance and reliability crucially depend on the thorough understanding of nonlinear magnetization dynamics at a sub-nanoscale level. This book offers a modern, stimulating approach to the subject of nonlinear magnetization dynamics by discussing important aspects such as the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation, analytical solutions, and the connection between the general topological and structural aspects of dynamics. An advanced reference for the study and understanding of nonlinear magnetization dynamics, it addresses situations such as the understanding of spin dynamics in short time scales and device performance and reliability in magnetic recording. Topics covered include nonlinear magnetization dynamics and the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, nonlinear dynamical systems, spin waves, ferromagnetic resonance and pulsed magnetization switching. The book explains how to derive exact analytical solutions for the complete nonlinear problem and emphasises the connection between the general topological and structural aspects of nonlinear magnetization dynamics and the discretization schemes better suited to its numerical study. It is an exceptional research tool providing an advanced understanding of the study of magnetization dynamics in situations of fundamental and technological interest.

Book Synopsis Physics And Engineering Of High-performance Electron Storage Rings And Application Of Superconducting Technology, Proceedings Of The Asian Accelerator School by : Zhiyuan Guo
Download or read book Physics And Engineering Of High-performance Electron Storage Rings And Application Of Superconducting Technology, Proceedings Of The Asian Accelerator School written by Zhiyuan Guo and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2002-02-27 with total page 567 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first Asian Accelerator School (AAS) was organised to show the rapid development of accelerator sciences based on electron storage rings in Asia. At present seven electron-positron colliders are operational in the world, and two of them are located in Asia: KEKB (the KEK B-Factory) at KEK in Japan, and BEPC at IHEP in China. It is also notable that one-third of the operating synchrotron light sources are Asian machines. To further improve the performance of electron storage rings, the use of superconducting magnets and cavities is of vital importance; therefore the curriculum of AAS was arranged not only to teach the basic physics of storage rings but also to give students a basic knowledge of superconducting technology.
