Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER • From the author of Into the Wild and Into Thin Air, this extraordinary work of investigative journalism takes readers inside America’s isolated Mormon Fundamentalist communities. • Now an acclaimed FX limited series streaming on HULU. “Fantastic.... Right up there with In Cold Blood and The Executioner’s Song.” —San Francisco Chronicle Defying both civil authorities and the Mormon establishment in Salt Lake City, the renegade leaders of these Taliban-like theocracies are zealots who answer only to God; some 40,000 people still practice polygamy in these communities. At the core of Krakauer’s book are brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty, who insist they received a commandment from God to kill a blameless woman and her baby girl. Beginning with a meticulously researched account of this appalling double murder, Krakauer constructs a multi-layered, bone-chilling narrative of messianic delusion, polygamy, savage violence, and unyielding faith. Along the way he uncovers a shadowy offshoot of America’s fastest growing religion, and raises provocative questions about the nature of religious belief.

Then consider the methods that were used by this group of people in order to massacre others in cold blood, included dismembering them alive, literally limb by limb, and then casually throwing their remains into a garbage receptacle. Then imagine the perpetrators not only becoming millionaires from this sickening human annihilation, but they even go so far as to say they have a "legal right" to do this deadly deed. Believe it or not, what has just been described to you is the Abortion movement. Therefore, this book, Abortion The Mass Murder of Children equips you with the much needed hard core evidence that unmasks the gruesome reality of Abortion with such shocking truths as: The History of Abortion, The Survivors of Abortion, The Motive of Abortion, The Aftermath of Abortion, The Church & Abortion, The Response to Abortion, and The Future of Abortion.

Come and meet Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, Nimue, the Black Knight, the Green Knight, Mordred, the Fisher King, and many others. Venture into Camelot and the Grail Castle and find the Holy Grail. But you must endure the Wasteland – the end of hope – before you have any prospect of encountering the Grail. What price will you pay? Would you risk it all to win it all? This is not a whodunnit, whatdunnit or howdunnit. It's a whydunnit. It's food for the brain.

CRAIG RUSSELL, author of HYDE THE INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER - OVER 2.5M COPIES SOLD I didn't kill anyone until I was forty-two. That's actually a little on the late side for my current professional environment. Admittedly, I did kill almost half a dozen in the week that followed. He reluctantly starts a mindfulness class and to his surprise, it's a revelation. He becomes calmer, more focused, and he's starting to understand what's really important in life. So when his client and brutal crime boss Dragan Sergowicz tries to interfere with his precious family time, Björn remembers his new-found goal to find serenity - and kills him. Now Björn can deepen his practice and seek inner peace - violently. 'A razor-sharp satire on stressed-out modern society, a darkly comic and hugely entertaining crime thriller and - believe it or not - also a handy guide to improving your life through mindfulness.' ROBBIE MORRISON, author of EDGE OF THE GRAVE 'A violent, feel-good rampage of a book where the pace and positivity never let up. Twisted and hilarious!' Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: MURDER AT THE NO-KILL ANIMAL SHELTER is a prequel novella in the Cheater's Lake Mystery series. The story is set in the fictional town of Cheater's Lake, Washington. The main character is Homicide Detective Mark Walsh, who relocated to the town from Phoenix, Arizona, (after catching his ex-wife in bed with his 'supervisor'). Mark now works with Officer Sharon Laskey, a former bartender, and is also assisted in his cases by his best friend (from Phoenix) retired San Diego Homicide Detective Greg Hogan (in a wheelchair due to a gang shooting), who is in the process of opening a PI practice in Seattle and LA. Mark arrives at the Cheater's Lake Animal Rescue (a no-kill shelter), where he's informed by Laskey that the two kennels were set on fire and the elderly caretaker (Carson Butts) found dead. The shelter's director is DM (Daisy Marigold) Collins, a wealthy widow who lives on 60 acres of wooded land in Cheater's Lake. Why would somenone set fire to a no-kill shelter and murder a kindly old caretaker? As Walsh investigates, he finds DM has some secrets and so did Butts. Walsh is attracted to DM, but she's all business, guarded by her German shepherd, Henry. Her history with animals includes setting up a prison program with rescue dogs to be trained for companions, as well as developing an area near her home for training security dogs. Along the way in his investigation, Mark finds two terrified cats and ends up adopting them. He names them Fred and Ethel (after the Lucille Ball show). They're terrors and he's not a cat person, but they add humor to the story and manage to teach him about the world of rescue -- his and theirs. Mark eventually comes full circle from the messed up guy who fled Phoenix to a more relaxed citizen of the small town of Cheater's Lake.

Her faith is four thousand years old. Zoroastrianism is the father of all revealed religions. For five centuries, her faith dominated the known world. Now she is in the entertainment capital of the United States, a city where Aimee Semple McPherson conned millions out of her followers and L. Ron Hubbard turned a fake religion into a multi-billion dollar organization and O. L. Jaggers leached millions from his Great World Church scheme. With her beauty and charisma, with television as her platform, a faith that was the first revealed religion, the first to require a person for pay for their sins, the first environmental religion, could easily explode across the US with Millennials as her vanguard. Every dollar she collects would be one dollar less for existing religions. The faithful put Anahita in the hands of Jordan Stone, a policeman turned attorney. Jordan is tall, handsome and fearless. Anahita is beautiful, charismatic, with an incredible shape and looks like a Persian Princess. Her enemies are legion, from major religions, that are suffering from declining members and fewer dollars in the collection plates, to members of her own faith who are willing to sacrifice Anahita to resist change. Together Anahita and Jordan do battle with assassins, LA street gangs, a religious coalition and crooked government officials, all who want her dead.
