Book excerpt: You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. -John 15:16 My Sister's Walk with God is fruit borne of years of faithful prayer and obedience to the calling placed on Pam from Jesus Christ, our Savior. Indeed, it is fruit that will last. It is a window into the heart and life of a prophetic intercessor. Her transparency and openness invite the reader to join her on a journey few would otherwise be able to witness. Bound and laced together with carefully documented scripture passages, it is a gift to the reader. ¬ e gentle and almost conversational style draws us in and includes us in the journey. Never setting herself apart or claiming to know anything other than her trust and faith in God, Pam has written a "how-to" book for intercessory prayer. She shows us, the reader, the possibilities, trials, victories, and the cost of answering a powerful call to prayer ministry. Pam is careful to give all the glory of her story to God. He is the Master Creator and the Author of her incredible walk of faith. She is open and candid, often bares her soul so that we can learn and share the hope she carries in her heart. ¬ is book will challenge experienced intercessors and will inspire new believers and nonbelievers to desire more from their lives. It is not a book easily forgotten but is one to return to for encouragement and inspiration. Lovingly written, carefully documented, it is a treasure to leave to her sisters and to those of us who are fortunate to meet her here in the pages of this incredible book. Book excerpt: A Woman Through and Through In a culture that can belittle womanhood on the one hand—making it irrelevant—and glorify it on the other—making it everything—it’s hard to know what it really means to be a woman. But when we understand womanhood through the lens of Scripture, we see that we need a bigger category for what God has called “woman.” This book breathes fresh air into our womanhood, reminding us what life in Christ—as a woman—looks like. When we see that we are women in all we do, we can be at peace with how God has created us, recognizing womanhood as an essential part of Christ’s mission and work.

Book excerpt: Friendships with other women are as important to our mental, physical, and spiritual health as rest, exercise, and prayer. We don’t just want friends—we need friends. God created us for relationship. Yet despite being more connected than ever before, we struggle to feel connected. From the false intimacy of social media to busyness and relational conflict, there are many challenges to developing authentic relationships. If you’ve ever been hurt by a friend, struggled to balance friendship with everyday life, seen a friendship end too early, or longed for deeper and more authentic friendships, this Bible study is for you. As Natalie leads you in a deep exploration of timeless truths in the Old and New Testaments, you will learn how to develop and nurture the kind of enriching and satisfying friendships that build up the body of Christ and bring honor to God. Personal testimonies and stories of successes and failures add a level of authenticity that is refreshing and insightful. As you learn to cultivate God-honoring relationships, you will become more like Christ and demonstrate His love to a broken world. Study participants will find deep study of Scripture's principles for God-honoring friendships; help for navigating conflict, setting boundaries, and learning to forgive; in-depth study of Scripture with testimonies and stories that "ring true," the do's and don'ts of authentic friendships; and Bible-based guidance for building stronger and deeper relationships. The Leader Guide contains six session plan outlines, complete with discussion points and questions, activities, prayers, and more—plus leader helps for facilitating a group. Other components for the Bible study, available separately, include a Participant Workbook, DVD with six 16-20 minute sessions, and boxed Leader Kit. “Becoming Heart Sisters is a beautiful reminder of how powerful walking hand in hand with a loyal friend can be. After completing this study, you will be better equipped to be this kind of God-honoring friend. Thank you, Natalie, for the charge to sacrificially love and serve our friends.” —Lysa Terkeurst, New York Times best-selling author and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It was about two years ago when the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to write this book and title it My Walk with God. This is my personal testimony about my life in Christ. I was reluctant to do so because of my age (at the time, I was eighty-seven years old in the year of 2019). Another blessing was bestowed upon me that same year on November. The Holy Spirit ministered to me to go on an ocean cruise with Bishop T. D. Jakes. I had no mind to go on the cruise, but as I listened to the Holy Spirit, every day it kept coming to me, telling to go on the cruise. And then He specified for me to go alone. I did not understand why I was to go alone, but eventually, I called and registered to go on the cruise. The lady said, “You know, there are women who would like to share rooms. Would you be interested in sharing?” At the time, I remembered that I was supposed to go alone, but I felt in my spirit it would be okay. Of course, I picked the room that I wanted and accepted the roommate, which was a wonderful pastor from Los Angeles, and everything worked out fine. The Holy Spirit knows how to do all things because He knows all things. We are still corresponding with each other. Two years later, I had a revelation of why I went alone, but I will not share. Truly, it was a great blessing. By the way, Bishop Jakes had all Christians on the boat. It was so inspiring and absolutely fantastic. I met so many beautiful people who love the Lord in the body of Christ and am still corresponding with them. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I am attempting to write this book for God’s glory. My prayer is that it will be a blessing to whoever should read it, especially the unsaved population, and, of course, my brothers and sisters in the Lord. We can do all things through Christ. For without Jesus, we are nothing, and we can do nothing without Him.

Book excerpt: What if God wants you to wait? Most of us know what it’s like to wait for God to change our circumstances. But, whether we’re waiting for physical healing, emotional breakthrough, or better relationships, waiting is something we usually try to avoid. Why? Because waiting is painful and hard. The truth is, it’s also inevitable. In Still Waiting, Ann Swindell explores the depths of why God wants us to wait by chronicling her own compelling story of waiting for healing from an incurable condition. She offers a vibrant retelling of the biblical account of the Bleeding Woman that parallels her story—and yours, too. Let Ann help you see the promise that is hidden in the ache of waiting and the hope of what God can—and will—do as you wait on him.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the roots of Christianity run deep into Hebrew soil, many Christians remain regrettably uninformed about the rich Jewish heritage of the church. Our Father Abraham delineates the vital link between Judaism and Christianity, exemplified by the common ancestry of the two faiths traceable back to Abraham. Marvin Wilson calls Christians to reexamine their Semitic heritage to regain a more authentically biblical understanding of what they believe and practice. Wilson, a trusted voice among both Jews and Christians, speaks to both past and present, first developing a historical perspective on the Jewish origins of the church and then discussing how the church can become more attuned to the Hebraic mindset of Scripture. Drawing from his own extensive experience, he also offers valuable practical guidance for salutary interaction between Christians and Jews. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter make this book especially suitable for use in groups—Christian, Jewish, or interfaith—as readers strive to make sense of their own faith in connection with the other. The second edition of Our Father Abraham features a new preface, an expanded bibliography of recent relevant works, and two new chapters: one that discusses Jewish-Christian relations after the Holocaust and another that reflects on Wilson’s own fifty-plus-year career as an evangelical Christian deeply committed to interfaith dialogue. As Christians and Jews feel a growing need for mutual support in an increasingly secular Western world, Wilson’s widely acclaimed book will offer encouragement and wise guidance toward this worthy end.
