Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These poems allow you to take a walk with me through some of my darkest hours. you may feel my pain, understand my struggle, and bear witness to the love that I have. My poems are utilized as a coping skill to push out bottled emotions before the thoughts become a problem. The loss of my mother leads to many suicide attempts. Writing allowed me to relieve the pressure and pain. In many of my poems, I am not glorifying or bragging about my darkest thoughts, pain, struggles, or the things I’ve done. However, I will like for you to understand that if you could look up, you could get up. As dark as I may seem to write, my light is bright. I write to un-bottle my love, my pain, my struggles, and my thoughts. Enjoy.

Book excerpt: IF ONLY YOU BELIEVE I heard a rose can grow out of the concrete and a flower can bloom in the darkness, a fairy can ride a unicorn and a mermaid can bring laughter and happiness. They say you can be blind as a bat or as strong as an ox, you can live in a enchanted forest with dwarfs and dragons and save a beautiful princess with golden locks. Travel through space with aliens and robots, or sail the seven seas and fight pirates, gargoyles, or a cyclops. You can fly on a magic carpet and make a wish with a Genie in a lamp, converse with zeal around the fire at camp. Look for the abominable snowman camouflage in a blizzard, dance in the courtyard with jesters and cast spells with a wizard. A mystique to mystify like Houdini with another trick up his sleeve but you can have anything if only you believe....................

Book Synopsis Miscellanies by Henry Fielding, Esq by : Henry Fielding
Download or read book Miscellanies by Henry Fielding, Esq written by Henry Fielding and published by Wesleyan University Press. This book was released on 1993-08 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Contains the fantasy, A Journey from This World to the Next, and two plays: the farce Eurydice, and The Wedding Day, a revision of an early intrigue comedy. Volume Three of Henry Fielding's Miscellanies, first published as a three-volume set in 1743, consists in its entirety of a major work of fiction, The History of the life of the Late Mr. Jonathan Wild the Great. Jonathan Wild takes its title from the 'thief-taker' and gangleader of that name who has hanged in 1725, but in Fielding's hands the history of Wild is transformed into a mock-historical work of sustained irony aimed at all who would be 'great men'. The general introduction to this edition sets the novel against its historical and biographical background and argues against the view, common and since the mid-nineteenth century, that it is a personal satire directed at the figure of Sir Robert Walpole. In both the general and the textual introductions, the editors also offer a fresh view on questions about the date and history of the work's composition. Full explanatory notes and commentary place Fielding's allusions and details in their contemporary context. As in previous volumes of the Wesleyan Edition, this provides a critical, unmodernized text, based on the Greg-Bowers 'Rationale of Copy-text'. The version is that of the first edition, with an appendix giving al variants in wording and presentation of the 1754 revision. In his introduction the textual editor lays out the rationale for his choice version. This volume also includes, for the first time in a modern edition, Fielding's list of subscribers to the Miscellanies, along with detailed biographical notes and an analysis of the subscription list by textual author.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Whether the ensuing pages were really the dream or vision of some very pious and holy person; or whether they were really written in the other world, and sent back to this, which is the opinion of many (though I think too much inclining to superstition); or lastly, whether, as infinitely the greatest part imagine, they were really the production of some choice inhabitant of New Bethlehem, is not necessary nor easy to determine. It will be abundantly sufficient if I give the reader an account by what means they came into my possession." -Introduction

Book Synopsis INNOCENCE STOLEN by : Brenda Mackall
Download or read book INNOCENCE STOLEN written by Brenda Mackall and published by Fulton Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-02-24 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a young girl, I always feared the Almighty God. I was born and raised in Baltimore City, a second child among six siblings, and raised by a truly wonderful woman of God, Rev. Dr. Frances L Waters. I, too, have grown to become a warrior for the sake of God, knowing that I had a calling on my life. I was led not only to reveal God's power by becoming a minister for Christ but also to share my experiences in life to those who may feel and think there is no hope. I'm expecting my story of events to touch deep into someone's heart that may have endured such trauma and pain in their life, and to let them know that God has the healing power for anything we face in this life. I am a true witness to those that have little faith in this powerful and Almighty God. Allow yourselves to put just a little of your faith and trust in this powerful God. I want to brag on his Grace and Mercy like how he reached down so far while I was at my lowest point in life and he rescued me. I am no longer afraid of what others may think of me. Once I publish my book and allow my light to shine, I want to show others His power to empower people. I believe in myself and feel that writing this book is a part of my life's purpose. I know I am placed on this earth to empower and uplift some bowed-down heads. My motto in life is as follows: All things happen for a reason. Place all your fears, worries, frustrations, and loss of hope in the hands of the Almighty God. My desire is to convince, uplift, and inspire people about this awesome God. All I have done this far in my life is brag about what our God can do. Remember the purpose of this book! Everything I'll go through has the potential to help someone along the way. I have the desire to use my book as a tool to leverage for a greater purpose, a meaningful movement, and a bigger mission for the sake of the Almighty God--a rape victim trusting God while being blindfold by the enemy.
