"It's a tear.""What's it for?""It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness and pride.""You are a genius," said the angel. The Lord looked somber, "I didn't put it there."Every mother will treasure this moving tribute, penned by America's most beloved expert on motherhood.

The story tore at my heart and, more than once, I felt my eyes well up with tears. Then I felt the joy of Ms. Vijay's faith that God would rejoin them in heaven. I felt the powerful strength that Rebecca showed throughout this book, and I'm so grateful that she share this very personal part of her life with us. I am proud to say that I am a *virtual* acquaintance of Rebecca's." Denise "This is one of those rare reads where the author has the ability to connect with you on a soul level in pure honesty. Even though I've never lost a child, I have lost family members and could connect with her emotional journey. The poignant thing this book points out, is that the usual consoling comments we receive from people, often times cause more stress than help. A reminder to us all to be aware of our words during times of grief and stress." Brenda "Very moving, honest and praise-worthy. It will take you on a very intimate and emotional ride. Highly recommended." Elen "It's true that the emotional pain hurts more than physical pain..." Sheetal
Book Synopsis Mothers of Angels by : Stephanie Basco Sullivan
Download or read book Mothers of Angels written by Stephanie Basco Sullivan and published by Southeast Media. This book was released on 2021-03-13 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life is difficult. Losing a child is the worst thing that some people will ever have to endure. You've been through something that will forever change your life. And even though you are a child of God, and you pray and ask God for guidance, it's not a sin to seek help from professionals. When we talk openly about our angel baby, it's not that we want others to feel sorry for us or feel uncomfortable. Just because our child died doesn't mean that we are not proud of them. We still have the desire to uphold their memory by saying their name and sharing our stories of what little time we had with them. We are still proud parents, regardless of what others think. Follow Stephanie Basco Sullivan, author of My Heart Shaped Womb and the creator of the Facebook page, "Mother's of Angel's," as she shares a continuation of her poetic, heartfelt posts with other parents, offering compassion and inspiration for all who grieve the loss of their child.

Book excerpt: My only son was murdered in December 2012 and I was having a very hard time dealing with my grief. I looked into councelling groups but the meetings were held on week nights, and this was impossilbe for me as I work an afternoon shift. I would come home from work and write how I felt in a notepad, as I was doing this, my expressions of grief were coming out in poems. I began posting my expressions of my grief on my facebook page., my family would comment on how beautiful they were, and that maybe I should consider publishing them in a book. I thought no who would really want to read about my grief and how I hurt inside. Then I found a facebook page for grieving mothers and began posting my expressions there. In no time so many grieving mothers from all over were wanting to share my poems. They had all encouraged my to write my expressions in a book and thats what I've done. For all the grieving mothers in the world this is from my heart.

They both were the generation who saved the world from the evil of Nazism and the tyrant called Hitler. And they also suffered through the Depression. Both, especially my mother, were Christians with a strong faith that helped them through difficulties and hardships, and gave them joy and love all during their lifetime. And now, their love is eternal. Even in death, it continues for each other and their loving Savior Jesus Christ and his Father.

Download or read book Nobody's Angel written by Thomas McGuane and published by Vintage. This book was released on 2012-06-13 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A novel about a former soldier in Big Sky Country whose life is spiraling out of control, from the acclaimed author of Ninety-two in the Shade and Cloudbursts, who is "among the most arresting and fascinating [writers] of his generation" (San Francisco Chronicle). In McGuane's first novel set in his famed American West, Patrick Fitzpatrick is a former soldier, a fourth-generation cowboy, and a whiskey addict. His grandfather wants to run away to act in movies, his sister wants to burn the house down, and his new stallion is bent on killing him: all of them urgently require attention. But increasingly Patrick himself is spiraling out of control, into that region of romantic misadventure and vanishing possibilities that is Thomas McGuane's Montana. Nowhere has McGuane mapped that territory more precisely—or with such tenderhearted lunacy—than in Nobody's Angel, a novel that places him in a genre of his own.

Book excerpt: “I am obsessed with this story!”—Erin Entrada Kelly, author of the Newbery Honor Book We Dream of Space “Boldly tells readers to take a closer look at the stories they’re told—not to mention at the wolves that might be lurking in the shadows. A clear-eyed, big-hearted fable of compassion, friendship, and love.”—Anne Ursu, author of The Real Boy “A lyrical tale of loss and survival, tradition and belief, in which tension and secrets build like a towering wave.”—Diane Magras, author of The Mad Wolf’s Daughter “A fable as polished and timeless as a fine wooden toy.”—Catherine Gilbert Murdock, author of the Newbery Honor Book The Book of Boy Shunned by his fearful village, a twelve-year-old apprentice embarks on a surprising quest to clear his name, with a mythic—and dangerous—wolf following closely at his heels. Jessica Vitalis’s debut is a gorgeous, voice-driven literary fantasy about family, fate, and long-held traditions. The Wolf’s Curse will engross readers of The Girl Who Drank the Moon and A Wish in the Dark. Gauge’s life has been cursed since the day he cried Wolf and was accused of witchcraft. The Great White Wolf brings only death, Gauge’s superstitious village believes. If Gauge can see the Wolf, then he must be in league with it. So instead of playing with friends in the streets or becoming his grandpapa’s partner in the carpentry shop, Gauge must hide and pretend he doesn’t exist. But then the Wolf comes for his grandpapa. And for the first time, Gauge is left all alone, with a bounty on his head and the Wolf at his heels. A young feather collector named Roux offers Gauge assistance, and he is eager for the help. But soon the two—both recently orphaned—are questioning everything they have ever believed about their village, about the Wolf, and about death itself. Narrated by the sly, crafty Wolf, Jessica Vitalis’s debut novel is a vivid and literary tale about family, friendship, belonging, and grief. The Wolf’s Curse will captivate readers of Laurel Snyder’s Orphan Island and Molly Knox Ostertag’s The Witch Boy.

Download or read book Moms Inspirations written by Shawna Luckey and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-10-08 with total page 31 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I lost my mom in January of 2013. She was my inspiration. She always told us to see the gifts God gave you. She always told us we can do anything we set our minds too. I was inspired through my grief to help others through theirs. I write these poems for people who have lost their loved one in a tragedy or they have just passed on to heaven to return home. They are now our angels watching over us. When I sit and think of a person and how sad they must be or how their heart is breaking so much, it inspires me to write. It lifts their hearts to a peace filled state; their hearts can be light again to enjoy the memory of their lost loved one. They can smile once again, knowing their loved ones are with them always in Gods miracles. He shows us his work in the beauty of the sky and the world in general, all around us. He tries to help us get through our grief by showing how green the grass is or how blue the sky can be. I love you, Mom. I love you, Dad. Thank you for showing me Gods gifts.
Download or read book Angel Mommy written by Linda Krikorian and published by . This book was released on 2000 with total page 79 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is an extraordinarily honest & insightful account of a frighteningly real disorder--bulimia nervosa. Especially compelling is Ms. Krikorian's description of its impact not only on herself but also, unavoidably, on her two pregnancies. I recommend it highly for those who work in the field of eating disorders & for those suffering from this disorder themselves. Debra L. Safer, MD, Psychiatrist. Angel Mommy is a moving & compelling account of the nightmarish world of bulimia, one which few people experience firsthand. The author has the courage to allow her readers entrance into this world & the desperate struggle, at times one of life or death, in which she has been engaged for most of her life. A normal, bright & attractive teenager, she gradually slipped into the cycle of binging & purging which became the driving force of her existence & which threatened not only her life, but the lives of her unborn children. Ultimately, it is the love for her son & daughter which has given her the courage to live & to write this sensitive & inspiring book, which provides a testament to the strength of the human spirit. -Roberta Tennant Editor-in-Chief, Falcon Books.
