Book excerpt: Darius of Gloucester is seeking his soul mate, and he has been looking for over 900 years. When he stumbles across small town bookstore owner Shelby Simmons his ancient instincts indicate he just might have found her. As Dari romances Shelby, he is plagued with bouts of unexpected historical time shifting and run-ins with a mysterious evil witch. Add to the mix hidden secrets in Shelby’s past, a suspicious policeman with his own designs on Shelby’s time, and Shelby’s skeptical views on love, and Dari’s quest seems doomed to failure. Is she the one he’s been seeking, or is he just blinded by lust? Moon Spinner spans the centuries as Dari and Shelby play the time-honored game of seduction. Will they finish the game, or will others prevail?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the full moon rises in the night sky, it's hard not to be captivated by the light that streams down on earth from our closest celestial neighbour. Even in the modern age, drenched in artificial light, the full moon has a magic that speaks to our most primal selves. This magic was recognised throughout human history, and lives on in the names various cultures have given each full moon as it rises above us. The Full Moon Yearbook combines Native American culture, Medieval Celtic Culture, East Asian culture and Witchcraft to dive into the stories that have led to names like February's Budding Moon, or November's Frost Moon. Over thirteen chapters, the names and mythology associated with each full moon are explored, as well as corresponding crystals, rituals, and yoga practices to make engaging with the energy of the full moon natural and fun. That thirteenth chapter is dedicated to the Blue moon, and in The Full Moon Yearbook readers will discover the reason why this mysterious moon appears in our night skies, along with its even more elusive friend, the Black Moon. Alongside the folk names, The Full Moon Yearbook highlights some of the goddesses that have been dedicated to, or personified, the moon in ancient religions, bringing their stories to life. With the international perspective, lunar festivals and customs from around the world and practical makes and recipes to help celebrate the full moon are included in this illustrated guide, showing how important the full moon has been throughout history to humankind. The Full Moon Yearbook is perfect for anyone who has ever felt a pull towards living in harmony with the moon, and longs to be living a lunar-inspired life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This brand-new universal model and physics was first published, in book form, September 26th, 2015! Remember the important date! This book, is a brand new textbook, in a brand new basic 5-dimensional quantum physics, and is written for future physicists and researchers! This new model is a full 'visualization' of all these 'extra' undetectable quantum physical dimensions! 'Rediscovering the fifth dimension' is a brand new 5-dimensional quantum physics model that builds up the entire universe, only on energetic oscillating fields, and a very special universal substance! This substance is actually the difference between whether something can be seen, discovered, detected or not! This universal substance was fully proven by Carl David Anderson as early as the 1930s! This 'semi-physical substance' is produced only by the Higg's field! That's the only reason they were able to discover this Higg's field as the absolute only possible field they could detect in the particle accelerator! They found absolutely no physical particles! Remember this! This is very important if you want to understand the universe as it really appears! This new quantum physical hologram model's atoms, are only these 4-dimensional oscillating energetic fields, which are actually fully proven, by the particle accelerator, in 2016! As a result, 99% of the universe actually consists of an undetectable quantum physics side, and 1% is this strange substance! This is where reality comes to the 'surface' and becomes fully 'visible', in the highly active 5-dimensional quantum physical universal engine room! The fact that something is visible and detectable is only due to the 'substance'! This new model reveals Tesla technology and stealth technology, and points out the very reason why the UFO's can disappear from today's high-tech radars! The reason why the UFO can disappear from radar, is that there are no physical particles left in the UFO, only the atom! This 'substance' can 'disappear' again, completely controlled, also the stealth effect occurs, in the UFO! The particle accelerator's final and very clear evidence just says that there can be no physical particles, and that it actually proves that there has never been a big-bang!! Still today, is this fake big-bang universe only researched and taught!? Why? Is it only because scientists don't understand the right universe that the particle accelerator actually proved to them should be there!? The energetic oscillating field universe!?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why the force that keeps our feet on the ground holds the key to understanding the nature of time and the origin of the universe. Gravity is the weakest force in the everyday world yet it is the strongest force in the universe. It was the first force to be recognized and described yet it is the least understood. It is a "force" that keeps your feet on the ground yet no such force actually exists. Gravity, to steal the words of Winston Churchill, is "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma." And penetrating that enigma promises to answer the biggest questions in science: what is space? What is time? What is the universe? And where did it all come from? Award-winning writer Marcus Chown takes us on an unforgettable journey from the recognition of the "force" of gravity in 1666 to the discovery of gravitational waves in 2015. And, as we stand on the brink of a seismic revolution in our worldview, he brings us up to speed on the greatest challenge ever to confront physics.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Proving to be both varied and fascinating, moons are far more common than planets in our Solar System. Our own Moon has had a profound influence on Earth, not only through tidal effects, but even on the behaviour of some marine animals. Many remarkable things have been discovered about the moons of the giant outer planets from Voyager, Galileo, Cassini, and other spacecraft. Scientists have glimpsed volcanic activity on Io, found oceans of water on Titan, and captured photos of icy geysers bursting from Enceladus. It looks likely that microbial life beyond the Earth may be discovered on a moon rather than a planet. In this Very Short Introduction David Rothery introduces the reader to the moons of our Solar System, beginning with the early discoveries of Galileo and others, describing their variety of mostly mythological names, and the early use of Jupiter's moons to establish position at sea and to estimate the speed of light. Rothery discusses the structure, formation, and influence of our Moon, and those of the other planets, and ends with the recent discovery of moons orbiting asteroids, whilst looking forward to the possibility of finding moons of exoplanets in planetary systems far beyond our own. ABOUT THE SERIES: The Very Short Introductions series from Oxford University Press contains hundreds of titles in almost every subject area. These pocket-sized books are the perfect way to get ahead in a new subject quickly. Our expert authors combine facts, analysis, perspective, new ideas, and enthusiasm to make interesting and challenging topics highly readable.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While the Moon was once thought to hold the key to space exploration, in recent decades, the U.S. has largely turned its sights toward Mars and other celestial bodies instead. In The Value of the Moon, lunar scientist Paul Spudis argues that the U.S. can and should return to the moon in order to remain a world leader in space utilization and development and a participant in and beneficiary of a new lunar economy. Spudis explores three reasons for returning to the Moon: it is close, it is interesting, and it is useful. The proximity of the Moon not only allows for frequent launches, but also control of any machinery we place there. It is interesting because recorded deep on its surface and in its craters is the preserved history of the moon, the sun, and indeed the entire galaxy. And finally, the moon is useful because it is rich with materials and energy. The moon, Spudis argues, is a logical base for further space exploration and even a possible future home for us all. Throughout his work, Spudis incorporates details about man's fascination with the moon and its place in our shared history. He also explores its religious, cultural, and scientific resonance and assesses its role in the future of spaceflight and our national security and prosperity.

This book was released on 1973 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Selenographic coordinates for about 6000 lunar points identified on the Lunar Orbiter photographs are tabulated and have been combined with those lunar radii derived from the Apollo 15 laser altimeter data. These coordinates were used to derive that triaxial ellipsoid which best fits the Moon's irregular surface. Fits where obtained for different constraints on both the axial orientations and the displacement of the center of the ellipsoid. The semiaxes for the unconstrained ellipsoid were a = 1737.6 km, b = 1735.6 km, and c = 1735.0 km which correspond to a mean radius of about 1736.1 km. These axes were found to be nearly parallel to the Moon's principal axes of inertia, and the origin was displaced about 2.0 km from the Moon's center of gravity in a direction away from the Earth and to the south of the lunar equator.
