For these reasons the Readiness Check is a consecutive offering with three services. The Enterprise Mobility Strategy service helps companies aligning their mobility strategy to the overall business strategy. The Use Case service is important to find, evaluate and prioritise appropriate scenarios for the usage of business apps. Along the Transition Approach service Trigon should be able to give advice how a company will be transformed into a mobilised enterprise. After the analysis part, the Transition Management proposal should help organisations in their transformation process with various services. It was found out in the investigation that many companies have been started recently or plan to start the transformation phase, so based on their needs dedicated services of Transition Management offering would be beneficial for them. A pilot project should give enterprise the opportunity to gain experience and build knowledge within the new topic. Further business app development and its integration are key services to build efficient and user friendly mobile solutions, which utilise business processes and leverage user productivity. [...]

Book excerpt: In the past few years, more and more employees have been demanding to do work from iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Back in days of BlackBerry, dealing with mobility was easy. However, these new devices aren't so easy to manage, and the tasks that employees are doing are far more advanced. In addition, now we also have to grapple with the trend of BYOD--personal devices in the workplace. The enterprise mobility management (EMM) industry has responded with technologies like mobile device management (MDM), mobile app management (MAM), mobile virtualization, app wrapping, "containerization," and mobile file syncing. Al this technology is new, and it's evolving rapidly. The stakes are high: Thanks to the consumerization of IT, if enterprise IT doesn't figure mobility, user will bring in their own phones and tablets and do whatever they want. "Enterprise Mobility Management: Everything you need to know about MDM, MAM, and BYOD" is your guide to figuring out how it all works. In this book, readers will learn: How MDM really works, what it does well, and what its limitations are; Why IT's mindset has to evolve from locking down devices and networks to making data and applications accessible in a safe way; Why the real challenge isn't personal devices, but mixing work and personal apps and data on a single device, regardless of whether they're personally-owned or corporate-deployed; How mobile app management work, and why, despite challenges, it may be the best approach for keeping corporate data secure; And how future developments could affect approaches to enterprise mobility management. This book is for people who have been tasked with "figuring out BYOD. " It's for companies that for years have dealt with only BlackBerry and BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) and want to know what's next. It's for desktop admins and architects who are now tasked with delivering applications and data to new platforms. It's for the mobile managers who were happy with BES for the past 10 years and now have to deal with users bringing in iPhones.

Is the flight on time? Where’s the nearest store, and is this product cheaper there? Whatever the question, the answer is on the phone. This Pavlovian response is the mobile mind shift — the expectation that I can get what I want, anytime, in my immediate context. Your new battleground for customers is this mobile moment — the instant in which your customer is seeking an answer. If you’re there for them, they’ll love you; if you’re not, you’ll lose their business. Both entrepreneurial companies like Dropbox and huge corporations like Nestlé are winning in that mobile moment. Are you? Based on 200 interviews with entrepreneurs and major companies across the globe, The Mobile Mind Shift is the first book to explain how you can exploit mobile moments. You’ll learn how to: • Find your customer’s most powerful mobile moments with a mobile moment audit. • Master the IDEA Cycle, the business discipline for exploiting mobile. Align your business and technology teams in four steps: Identify, Design, Engineer, Analyze. • Manufacture mobile moments as Krispy Kreme does — it sends a push notification when hot doughnuts are ready near you. Result: 500,000 app downloads, followed by a double-digit increase in same-store sales. • Turn one-time product sales into ongoing services and engagement, as the Nest thermostat does. And master new business models, as Philips and Uber do. Find ways to charge more and create indelible customer loyalty. • Transform your technology into systems of engagement. Engineer your business and technology systems to meet the ever-expanding demands of mobile. It’s how Dish Network not only increased the efficiency of its installers but also created new on-the-spot upsell opportunities. Mobile is rapidly shifting your customers into a new way of thinking. You’ll need your own mobile mind shift to respond.
