Download or read book Etel Adnan written by Etel Adnan and published by Hatje Cantz Verlag. This book was released on 2011-06-10 with total page 33 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis Early Printed Narrative Literature in Western Europe by : Bart Besamusca
Download or read book Early Printed Narrative Literature in Western Europe written by Bart Besamusca and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2019-11-05 with total page 355 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The essays in this volume are concerned with early printed narrative texts in Western Europe. The aim of this book is to consider to what extent the shift from hand-written to printed books left its mark on narrative literature in a number of vernacular languages. Did the advent of printing bring about changes in the corpus of narrative texts when compared with the corpus extant in manuscript copies? Did narrative texts that already existed in manuscript form undergo significant modifications when they began to be printed? How did this crucial media development affect the nature of these narratives? Which strategies did early printers develop to make their texts commercially attractive? Which social classes were the target audiences for their editions? Around half of the articles focus on developments in the history of early printed narrative texts, others discuss publication strategies. This book provides an impetus for cross-linguistic research. It invites scholars from various disciplines to get involved in an international conversation about fifteenth- and sixteenth-century narrative literature.

Book Synopsis Freiheit - Gerechtigkeit - Liebe. Freedom - Justice - Love by : Brigitte Buchhammer
Download or read book Freiheit - Gerechtigkeit - Liebe. Freedom - Justice - Love written by Brigitte Buchhammer and published by LIT Verlag Münster. This book was released on 2019 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This celebratory publication is an expression of deepest gratitude to Herta Nagl-Docekal. With this volume, colleagues, graduates and friends want to celebrate her collected philosophical works. Her entire life's work has been characterized by both humanitarian and humanist commitment: to seek the principles of justice in the co-existence of human beings, but that philosophy also provides the basic yardstick, to highlight distortions on recent theories. Her philosophical work is alive with the commitment to a philosophy which is compelled to seek the principles of greater justice and solidarity.

Book Synopsis Biblical Women in Patristic Reception / Biblische Frauen in patristischer Rezeption by : Agnethe Siquans
Download or read book Biblical Women in Patristic Reception / Biblische Frauen in patristischer Rezeption written by Agnethe Siquans and published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht. This book was released on 2017-09-11 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Beyond Good and Evil by : Friedrich Nietzsche
Download or read book Beyond Good and Evil written by Friedrich Nietzsche and published by Livraria Press. This book was released on 2024-05-09 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A new translation into American English from the original manuscript of Nietzsche's 1886 Jenseits von Gut und Böse, or in English "Beyond Good & Evil".This unique edition is bilingual- the original text is included in the back as reference material behind the English translation. This is volume 7 The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche from Livraria Press. This chronological, systematic set of Nietzsche's works is the first ever bilingual "Hauptwerke" or complete major works of Nietzsche published in English & the original German. Beyond Good and Evil represents the apotheosis of Nietzsche’s Perspectivism, 'Will-to-Power' and anti-modern moral metaphysics. He argues for a shift to a moral system (which he refers to as an "immorality" in an Apollonian-Dionysian sense) based on the effect of an action on the living being, not based on intention nor any value determined by judgments rooted in history. Jenseits is his sharpest polemic against Christianity and the corresponding Meta-ethics (albeit, his Anti-Christianity exists primarily as Anti-Semitism as he was fond of Social Darwinism). This new "philosophy of immorality" is bound to 'Perspektivismus' and the Will-to-Power/ Wille zur Macht- an idea he adopted and modified from Schopenhauer- which refers to the instinctual knowing and cyclical self-renewal of the individual.

Download or read book Zweistromland written by U. Rosenzweig and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 852 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Thought Experiments 18 by : Leonard Lowe
Download or read book Thought Experiments 18 written by Leonard Lowe and published by Denk-Verlag.com English. This book was released on 2024-12-03 with total page 475 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: End Times. New Beginnings. We take a glimpse into the future... not that we actually could. But we will try. Where are the developments that give us hope... that counteract the dystopia that disguises itself in the guise of Corona? Therefore, this time we will get significantly more technical. But that doesn’t matter, because the author is not only a philosopher (properly trained, mind you), but also an engineer... (equally trained, with a degree and all that jazz)... The future will be technical... but to help humanity and secure its freedom. There will be no regression to agriculture and caves, to campfires and stone axes. And therefore, we will also be focusing more on technical aspects this time... which developments may have brought us to this point and which can lead us to a better future from here... and of course: which ones won’t! Technology will even provide the way out of the current crisis... technology has first accelerated... provoked the crisis because the old world—marked by war, lies, and exploitation—is coming to an end... but the new world will not be as the liars and exploiters imagine it... it will be \textit{free}... above all, free from the liars and exploiters.
