She’s ready to walk away from Black Rose for good...until she meets a hot Highlander who pushes all the right buttons. Nothing makes Ronan O’Connor’s blood heat more than commanding a submissive in a scene, but forming a relationship outside the club was an urge lost long ago. The closer people get, the more damage they can do. But when he meets the alluring Mary, her beauty—and her obedience—captivate him, and he's determined to make her his. Every Dom has firm rules, and Ronan is no exception. So he’ll make her an offer—one that will push her boundaries of pleasure and submission even as it challenges the line that separates Mary and Blossom. Book excerpt: "Some books should be tasted, some devoured, but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly."Have you ever heard the African proverb that says, "When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside can do you no harm"?It's true. If you can improve yourself to the point where your personal growth just continues to increase, you will be hard-pressed to find anything that can do you any harm.Making small improvements on a regular basis may actually be better and more effective than trying to make a lot of big changes at once. Small changes will eventually turn into habits while trying to make a large change could lead to feelings of being overwhelmed, and ultimately failure.I enjoyed most of the books from Dale to Osho and here in my work- Mind Blossom I gathered the best practices and ideas for self-improvement and personal growth! Book Synopsis To Blossom and Back by : Paul Hopkins
Download or read book To Blossom and Back written by Paul Hopkins and published by Paul Hopkins. This book was released on 2020-02-17 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Little did they know about the darkness and torment that would unveil itself as they traveled the path of selfishness and desire? The addiction took hold revealing that the attraction and desire was too strong to deny. No one or nothing could stand in their way as the connection and sex between them was to powerful, strong and too pertinent. The pull to each other was so strong and grew daily, which made them question and doubt and search until one day the line was crossed. They both jumped on the roller coaster of love as they were tossed and turned in an emotional whirlwind. The grip of addiction was too solid and too much, it was heavy handed and took no prisoners.

Book Synopsis It Is the Same Light by : Daljit Singh Jawa
Download or read book It Is the Same Light written by Daljit Singh Jawa and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-03-28 with total page 701 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sri Guru Granth Sahib is generally known as the holy scripture of Sikhism, the worlds fifth largest religion. But this holy scripture is neither a storybook nor just the philosophy of the Sikh saints or prophets. It is more like a collection of divine revelations and hymns, expressing the feelings of love and devotion of the Sikh Gurus for the Supreme Being, along with the similar yearnings and longings of the devotees and saints from all faiths prevalent in Indian subcontinent during those times. The beauty of this 1430 page hymnal written in 22 different languages lies in the fact that while it spiritually connects the human mind to the original source of eternal bliss, it provides a very practical and effective way to live in love and harmony with other fellow human beings irrespective of their faith, color, caste, creed, or race. The following are a few examples of the views of eminent writers and scholars regarding Sri Guru Granth Sahib: Mankinds religious future may be obscure, yet one thing can be foreseen. The living higher religions are going to influence each other more than ever before, in the days of increasing communications between all parts of the world and branches of the human race. In this coming religious debate, the Sikh religion and its scriptures, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib will have something of special value to say to the rest of the world. Arnold Toynbee- Historian I have studied the scripture of great religions, but I do not find elsewhere the same power of appeal to the heart and mind as I find here in these volumes [of Sri Guru Granth Sahib]. There is something strangely modern about these scriptures. They speak to the people of any religion or of none. They speak for the human heart and the searching mind. Mrs. Pearl S. Buck- Nobel Laureate In Volume five of the It Is The Same Light series (SGGS pages 801-1000), author Daljit Singh Jawa continues his humble effort to share the beauty of the SGGS with those who have limited familiarity with the language (Gurumukhi), history, or context. The following are some of the comments received on the volume 7 (pages 1201-1430 of SGGS): This translation of Guru Granth Sahib is one of the best English translations in my view, as it is in simple understandable English, each shabads summary message is given, there is connection between the shabads to reveal continuity of thought process in Guru jis message. Thanks to S Daljit Singh ji for the great work which will benefit future generations understand Guru Jis message easily. -Amarjit Singh, M.D., University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY A monumental undertaking, reflecting a lifetime of devotion to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and to the scholarly study of its voluminous texts. Both its rendition of the original Gurmukhi script, with accompanying English transliteration, and its erudite commentary on each of the Granths many hymns mark this work as a stunning achievement which will benefit all serious students of the Sikh religion and of world religions in general. -Barry Crawford, Ph.D., Washburn Univesity, Topeka, Kansas

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Dr. Carnavale? We have him all comfortable now if you'd like to come with me." She looked up, the dazed and bruised expression still there after an hour of fear and confusion, hands clenched tightly on her lap. Linda, the head ICU nurse, had seen her over the years; but she looked smaller now, dignified even in her flounced denim skirt and peasant blouse, her gray shoulder-length hair pinned back with barrettes centered with turquoise stones. She stood carefully. Linda lightly held her arm and guided her down the hall. They turned into the room, and even though she knew what she would see, despair settled on her at the sight of the tubes and monitors. There he lay, his beautiful white hair still thick with waves, his eyelashes surprisingly black. "As the doctor told you, he's comfortable, and nothing will happen until you say so. If you'd like, you could go home until your children arrive," pushing a chair closer for her even as she said it and moving a table closer so she could reach the tissues and ice water. "There's a blanket here, and feel free to lay on the other bed if you like. We'll be right down the hall if you need us." She found his left hand with both of hers and laid her forehead against them. "I'm so sorry, my darling. I know I promised. It's just until the children get here. I didn't want you all stiff and cold when they came. Don't be mad. I love you." Oh how she wished it was a dream, that she'd wake up and hear him, "Baby girl, I'm here. Where are you?" Fifty-five years how could it be, how could it possibly be since the day she first saw him.
Book Synopsis Cherry Blossom Epiphany -- The Poetry and Philosophy of a Flowering Tree by : Robin D. Gill

This book was released on 2006-10 with total page 738 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cherry Blossom Epiphany - the poetry and philosophy of a flowering tree - a selection, translation and lengthy explication of 3000 haiku, waka, senryû and kyôka about a major theme from I.P.O.O.H. (In Praise Of Olde Haiku)by robin d. gill 1. Haiku -Translation from Japanese to English 2. Japanese poetry - 8c-20c - waka, haiku and senryû 3. Natural History - flowering cherries 4. Japan - Culture - Edo Era 5. Nonfiction - Literature 6. Translation - applied 7. You tell me! If the solemn yet happy New Year's is the most important celebration of Japanese (Yamato) ethnic culture, and the quiet aesthetic practice of Moon-viewing in the fall the most elegant expression of Pan-Asian Buddhism=religion, the subject of this book, Blossom-viewing - which generally means sitting down together in vast crowds to drink, dance, sing and otherwise enjoy the flowering cherry in full-bloom - is less a rite than a riot (a word originally meaning an 'uproar'). The major carnival of the year, it is unusual for being held on a date that is not determined by astronomy, astrology or the accidents of history as most such events are in literate cultures. It takes place whenever the cherry trees are good and ready. Enjoyed in the flesh, the blossom-viewing, or hanami, is also of the mind, so much so, in fact, that poetry is often credited with the spread of the practice over the centuries from the Imperial courts to the maids of Edo. Nobles enjoyed link-verse contests presided over by famous poet-judges. Hermits hung poems feting this flower of flowers (to say the generic "flower" = hana in Japanese connotes "cherry!") on strips of paper from the branches of lone trees where only the wind would read them. In the Occident, too, flowers embody beauty and serve as reminders of mortality, but there is no flower that, like the cherry blossom, stands for all flowers. Even the rose, by any name, cannot compare with the sakura in depth and breadth of poetic trope or viewing practice. In Cherry Blossom Epiphany, Robin D. Gill hopes to help readers experience, metaphysically, some of this alternative world. Haiku is a hyper-short (17-syllabet or 7-beat) Japanese poem directly or indirectly touching upon seasonal phenomena, natural or cultural. Literally millions of these ku have been written, some, perhaps, many times, about the flowering cherry (sakura), and the human activity associated with it, blossom-viewing (hanami). As the most popular theme in traditional haiku (haikai), cherry-blossom ku tend to be overlooked by modern critics more interested in creativity expressed with fresh subjects; but this embarrassment of riches has much to offer the poet who is pushed to come up with something, anything, different from the rest and allows the editor to select from what is, for all practical purposes, an infinite number of ku. Literary critics, take note: Like Rise, Ye Sea Slugs! (2003) and Fly-ku! (2004), this book not only explores new ways to anthologize poetry but demonstrates the practice of multiple readings (an average of two per ku) as part of a composite translation turned into an object of art by innovative clustering. Book-collectors might further note that while Cherry Blossom Epiphany may not be hardback, it takes advantage of the many symbols included with Japanese font to introduce design ornamentation (the circle within the circle, the reverse (Buddhist) swastika, etc.) hitherto not found in English language print. It is a one-of-a-kind work of design by the author.
