Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The magnetic properties of carbonyl sulfide have been studied in the past by various authors using both conventional microwave spectroscopy and molecular beam electric resonance. The molecular beam techniques give very precise results but are difficult and relatively inflexible and it has been found possible to study a much wider variety of molecules using microwave techniques. As part of a program to improve the microwave method so that it might produce data of a similar degree of precision as those obtained using most beam techniques, the molecular O(16)C(12)S(32) has been restudied, because of its results. In the experiment both the molecular g-factor and the molecular magnetic susceptibility anisotropy of OCS have been evaluated with considerable precision. (Author).

Book Synopsis Microwave Properties Of Magnetic Films by : Carmine Vittoria
Download or read book Microwave Properties Of Magnetic Films written by Carmine Vittoria and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1993-09-09 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Previous works on this subject tended to be too specialised, making it difficult for students who lack the necessary background in this subject to follow. This book attempts to remedy the situation by providing students from other disciplines the basic background necessary to understand the discussion in this book. In this way, it provides a bridge between basic science and applications/course work. The book begins by presenting the fundamental principles of microwave materials using electrical engineering terminology, hence providing the necessary background before it discusses well-known physical concepts or solid state. Having reviewed the basic concepts, it goes on to discuss a systematic procedure of describing the microwave properties of materials. The organised and comprehensive nature of the book makes it a very useful reading and reference source.
Book Synopsis Microwave Spectroscopy by : Charles H. Townes
Download or read book Microwave Spectroscopy written by Charles H. Townes and published by Courier Corporation. This book was released on 1975-01-01 with total page 722 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two Nobel Laureates present a systematic, comprehensive account of the theory, techniques, experimental data, and interpretation involved in the study of microwave spectroscopy—a subject relevant to nuclear physics, molecular structure, chemical kinetics, quantum electrodynamics, and astronomy. The material in this volume is discussed critically, systematically, and in the simplest form. The simplicity of the wording and mathematics makes most of the contents accessible to those with a very elementary knowledge of quantum mechanics and atomic physics. Although the treatment is continuously developed, each of the 18 chapters is self-contained. Nearly 200 tables and figures augment the text. Appendixes supply most of the background for research and interpretation of microwave spectra; they also contain extensive data on nuclear and molecular constants, including essentially all those determined by microwave techniques. "Equally suitable for use as a fundamental reference or advanced textbook." — U.S. Quarterly Book Review.
Book Synopsis Dynamics in Microwave Chemistry by : Kama Huang
Download or read book Dynamics in Microwave Chemistry written by Kama Huang and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-01-04 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book addresses microwave chemistry at both the physical and molecular level. Its main goal is to elaborate the highly complex scientific issues involved in the fundamental theory of microwave chemistry, and in industrialized applications in the near future. The book provides detailed insights into the characterization and measurement of dielectric properties under complex conditions, such as chemical reactions, high-temperature environments, etc. Considerable attention is paid to the theory of dynamics in microwave chemistry, from the view of both physical level and molecular level. Microwave-Material Interactions simulation is used for physical dynamical analysis, while a Microwave-Molecules Interactions methodology is proposed for molecular dynamical analysis. In turn, calculational examples are introduced for better description and validation, respectively. Lastly, the book proposes design strategies and calculational examples for large-scale application. Richly illustrated and including a wealth of worked-out examples, this book is ideal for all researchers, students and engineers who are just getting started in the dynamics of microwave chemistry.

Book Synopsis Microwave Heating by : Gennadiy I. Churyumov
Download or read book Microwave Heating written by Gennadiy I. Churyumov and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2021-08-18 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: More than 80 years of experience in the practical application of electromagnetic energy in various fields of human activity (industry, agriculture, science, medicine, etc.) suggests that microwave heating is an effective application of electromagnetic energy. This book presents the latest investigations on the applications of microwave energy and the effects of microwave radiation on various materials and mediums. Divided into two sections on thermal and nonthermal effects, this volume contains eight chapters that examine the use of microwave energy to extract bioactive compounds from plant materials, for rock-breaking operations, to synthesize functional dyes and nanomaterials, and more.
