It contains fifty-two separate elements in a Tree of Life motif. When applied and practiced in daily life, the intention is that Elements will contribute to spiritual growth and perhaps some kind of awakening. There is no one right way to use the Table. Each of us have our own path. By using the Table we can possibly discover the elements that we need to further explore and work on. The Table is intended to pique interest in the elements outlined. It is intended for people to see it and ask themselves: What is this all about? Why are these elements included? What the heck is that one? Why does something I value seem to be excluded? How do these all fit together? It is designed to elicit spiritual inquiry, self-examination of one's spiritual belief system so that interested persons may make greater effort and exploration to define their own. The Spiritual Elements are intended to be explored with a general assumption that we are all inherently Divine within and that there is no single recipe which might allow its revelation and all the benefits that flow from that. We have to find our unique alchemy for transformation. We have to do our spiritual work. The Periodic Table of Spiritual Elements is a one-of-a-kind roadmap and reference tool designed to support that work. Each Element is discussed in a chapter along with its Alchemy with other Elements, Practices that support it and Mantras which help bring it forth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since its original publication in 1929, Martin Heidegger's provocative book on Kant's Critique of Pure Reason has attracted much attention both as an important contribution to twentieth-century Kant scholarship and as a pivotal work in Heidegger's own development after Being and Time. This fifth, enlarged edition includes marginal notations made by Heidegger in his personal copy of the book and four new appendices—Heidegger's postpublication notes on the book, his review of Ernst Cassirer's Philosophy of Symbolic Forms, Heidegger's response to reviews by rudolf Odebrecht and Cassirer, and an essay "On the History of the Philosophical Chair since 1866." The work is significant not only for its illuminating assessment of Kant's thought but also for its elaboration of themes first broached in Being and Time, especially the problem of how Heidegger proposed to enact his destruction of the metaphysical tradition and the role that his reading of Kant would play therein.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the last twenty-five years or so, studies in Thomistic existentialism have repeatedly indicated that the notion of creation played a decisive role in St. Thomas Aquinas' view of existence as an existential act or actus es sendi. The importance for metaphysics of this view of existence as act war rants an investigation of the relation between creation and actus essendi; for St. Thomas is the only one, in the history of philosophy, to have con sidered existence as an act-of-being. This study will be limited to the early works of St. Thomas. By the time of the Summa Contra Gentiles, he had reached the key positions of his metaphysics. And the first fifty-three chap ters of the Summa Contra Gentiles were written in Paris before June, 1259; 1 the rest was completed in Italy before 1265. The project was therefore con ceived by St. Thomas during the first period of his career. How the notion of creation enabled him to transform the Aristotelian metaphysics of essence into a metaphysics of esse can be seen from three sections of the Summa Contra Gentiles. Although primarily a theological treatise, the Contra Gentiles never theless accomplishes a radical metaphysical transformation of Aristotelian ism by shifting the whole perspective from esse in actu per formam to actus essendi. Seen from the perspective of existential act as the absolute perfec tion, metaphysics is raised to a strictly transcendental plane of consideration.
