Gross income in 1959 for each species, cattle and calves, hogs, and sheep and lambs was larger than in 1953. The increase in gross income for hogs was due to both larger marketings and higher prices, while for cattle and calves and sheep and lambs the increase was due to larger marketings, since prices per 100 pounds were lower.
