Download or read book Maple written by Victor Aladjev and published by Fultus Corporation. This book was released on 2006 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book consists of two parts. The first part consists of seven chapters and presents a new software for package Maple of releases 6-10. The tools represented in this chapters increase the range and efficiency of use of Maple on Windows platform. The basic attention is devoted to additional tools created in the process of practical use and testing the Maple of releases 4 - 10 which by some parameters extend essentially the opportunities of the package and facilitate the work with it.Whereas the algorithms of physical and engineering problems of the second part mainly use the finite element method (FEM). The part consists of eight chapters and solves in Maple environment the physical and engineering problems from such fields as: thermal conductivity, mechanics of deformable bodies, theory of elasticity, hydrodynamics, hydromechanics, etc. At last, application of Maple for solution of optimization problems is presented.

Book Synopsis Trends, Techniques, and Problems in Theoretical Computer Science by : Alica Kelemenova
Download or read book Trends, Techniques, and Problems in Theoretical Computer Science written by Alica Kelemenova and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1987-10-21 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are still the main domains that make greater use of flow visualization and classical optical techniques such as schlieren and interferometry than of more recent techniques such as holography speckle, laser light sheets, laser-induced tracers and laser-induced fluorescence. A number of studies are now under way on turbulent and vortex flows, within boundary layers or wakes, in the mixing layer of two flows. Other studies concern jets, two-phase flows and air-water interface. To review and discuss developments in flow visualization, four international symposia have been held. Following Tokyo, Bochum and Ann Arbor, the Fourth International Symposium on Flow Visualization (ISFV 4) was held in Paris in August 1986.
Book Synopsis Computer Algebra Systems by : Victor Aladjev
Download or read book Computer Algebra Systems written by Victor Aladjev and published by Fultus Corporation. This book was released on 2004 with total page 565 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Book Description The book represents a library of well-designed software, which well supplements the already available Maple software with the orientation towards the widest circle of the Maple users, greatly enhancing its usability and effectiveness. The current library version contains tools (more than 570 procedures and program modules) that are oriented onto wide enough spheres of computing and information processing. The library is structurally similar to the main Maple library and is supplied with the advanced Help system about the tools located in it. In addition, the library is logically connected with the main Maple library, providing access to the tools contained in it similarly to the package tools. The library will be of special interest above all to those who use Maple of releases 6 - 9.5 not only as a highly intellectual calculator but also as environment for programming of different problems in own professional activities. The represented source codes of the library tools, using both the effective and the non-standard technique, can serve as an useful enough practical programming guide on the Maple language. Book Synopsis General Statistics by : Victor Aladjev
Download or read book General Statistics written by Victor Aladjev and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-10-17 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is a statistic course for undergraduate students in all fields of social and economic sciences. The book presents a manual on a course "General Statistics", including a series of not quite traditional topics. Above all, it concerns the mathematical bases of statistics and use of computer technologies in statistic probing. At that, thematic choice of the chapters and sections of the book is caused not only by interests and tastes of the authors, but also by modern tendencies in applied statistics and orientation of the given work. The book contains a series of concrete proposals for improvement of statistic practice; many of them are based on our experience in practical statistical activity in statistical organs of USSR and Estonia. A comparability aspect of the Soviet statistic school inheriting many traditions of the worldwide known Russian school of probability theory and statistics, with western statistics can be a rather interesting to the English-speaking reader.

The book presents a manual on the course "General Theory of Statistics", including a series of not quite traditional topics. First of all, it concerns the mathematical bases of statistics and use of computer technologies in statistical probing. Thematic choice of the chapters and sections of the book is caused not only by interests and tastes of the authors, but also by modern tendencies in applied statistics and orientation of the given work. The book is based on a course of lectures given by the first author for undergraduates in social and economic sciences along with three books published in Russian and English in Estonia, Lithuania and Byelorussia. This book has been written for a large enough audience of teachers, researchers, statisticians, students, collegians and users of statistics in behavioral and social sciences. Above all, the book is directed to a wide circle of the readers studying statistical disciplines in high schools and colleges; however, it can be useful also to persons independently studying statistics. Book Synopsis Homogeneous Structures on Riemannian Manifolds by : F. Tricerri
Download or read book Homogeneous Structures on Riemannian Manifolds written by F. Tricerri and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1983-06-23 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The central theme of this book is the theorem of Ambrose and Singer, which gives for a connected, complete and simply connected Riemannian manifold a necessary and sufficient condition for it to be homogeneous. This is a local condition which has to be satisfied at all points, and in this way it is a generalization of E. Cartan's method for symmetric spaces. The main aim of the authors is to use this theorem and representation theory to give a classification of homogeneous Riemannian structures on a manifold. There are eight classes, and some of these are discussed in detail. Using the constructive proof of Ambrose and Singer many examples are discussed with special attention to the natural correspondence between the homogeneous structure and the groups acting transitively and effectively as isometrics on the manifold.

Book Synopsis Harmonic Analysis on Homogeneous Spaces by : Nolan R. Wallach
Download or read book Harmonic Analysis on Homogeneous Spaces written by Nolan R. Wallach and published by Courier Dover Publications. This book was released on 2018-12-18 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is suitable for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics with a strong background in linear algebra and advanced calculus. Early chapters develop representation theory of compact Lie groups with applications to topology, geometry, and analysis, including the Peter-Weyl theorem, the theorem of the highest weight, the character theory, invariant differential operators on homogeneous vector bundles, and Bott's index theorem for such operators. Later chapters study the structure of representation theory and analysis of non-compact semi-simple Lie groups, including the principal series, intertwining operators, asymptotics of matrix coefficients, and an important special case of the Plancherel theorem. Teachers will find this volume useful as either a main text or a supplement to standard one-year courses in Lie groups and Lie algebras. The treatment advances from fairly simple topics to more complex subjects, and exercises appear at the end of each chapter. Eight helpful Appendixes develop aspects of differential geometry, Lie theory, and functional analysis employed in the main text.
