Book Synopsis Feasibility Studies for Hotels by : Wolfgang Fercher
Download or read book Feasibility Studies for Hotels written by Wolfgang Fercher and published by diplom.de. This book was released on 2006-10-16 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inhaltsangabe:Abstract: The intensity of competition in the tourism business, especially in the hotel industry has continuously grown during the last years. This development leads to the situation that capital investments in the hospitality industry are connected with ever increasing risks. In order to minimize these risk potentials, a detailed evaluation of the competitiveness and market compatibility of a planned project is an essential part of any project development process. Those analyses are covered in the course of a feasibility study which encloses all aspects that influence the success of a hotel project. In this context, a feasibility study serves as an information tool for project developers, investors, tenants, hotel operators and financiers in order to make decisions with regard to a specific hotel project. The preparation of a feasibility study requires the combination of a multitude of aspects, hence input from all participants in the project development process. Getting hold of information and the appropriate usage of this information is crucial in order to ensure the success of a study. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to identify the most important and current issues in feasibility evaluation of hotel projects. In practice, many studies are prepared following a fixed model, which has not been changed for years. However, the hospitality industry is highly competitive and dynamic, new additions to the existing supply therefore need to be analyzed very carefully. The focus of this diploma thesis is specifically put on the hospitality industry. This means that feasibility evaluation for other types of project development in the tourist industry is not subject to this study. The aim of the thesis is on the one hand to point out aspects that have to be taken into consideration in any study, and to give suggestions for improvements on the other hand. The author has laid down the following four hypotheses that serve as the main source for the research questions. - Hypothesis 1: The sensitivity analysis is the most important component of a feasibility study. - Hypothesis 2: A feasibility study is the most important decision making factor for the investor in a hotel project. - Hypothesis 3: If the results of a feasibility study seem to turn out negative, then the operative concept of the project is changed. - Hypothesis 4: The level of the construction cost is the factor that is most difficult to estimate and is therefore [...]
Book Synopsis Feasibility Study and Business Plan by : Max Beerbohm
Download or read book Feasibility Study and Business Plan written by Max Beerbohm and published by . This book was released on 2019-12-13 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Feasibility study and business planLearn How to Present a Completed Feasibility StudyA feasibility study is a thoroughly researched analysis of a plan or method. The purpose of a feasibility study is to determine and then communicate whether an action being considered is practical for a business or project. These studies usually contain detailed information about the financial structure for the plan and an analysis of the market with regards to the proposal (if needed). It also contains the suggested logistics for delivering a product or service, the resources you'll need, the personnel support and the organizational structure required. Presenting your feasibility study is just as important as the work you put into it.How to Assemble Your Feasibility StudyHow you present your final study is just as important as the information it contains. If you have a lot of material, organize it into a portfolio or binder. Finding information easily and quickly is important to executives, managers, lenders, and investors, so include tabs (type them if at all possible) to indicate each component in your study.Cover letters should not be generic but should be individualized depending upon with whom you are submitting the study. Before you submit your study, have someone else proofread it for you to check for content and errors.Typographical errors will make your study appear rushed or unprofessional, and if your descriptions and calculations do not make sense to the reader the action will be ruled unfeasible as presented.Although you write your conclusion last, it serves as a summary of the details in your study. You can place it at the end of your document (before any exhibits and attachments), but placing it after the table of contents sets the tone and highlights key issues for the reader to be aware of before they read the rest of the study.

Book Synopsis Mineral Property Evaluation by : Richard L. Bullock
Download or read book Mineral Property Evaluation written by Richard L. Bullock and published by Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration. This book was released on 2017-12-01 with total page 554 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Everything” sums up what must be considered for a properly documented property evaluation. Less than 30% of the projects that are developed in the minerals industry yield the return on investment that was projected from the project feasibility studies. The tools described in this handbook will greatly improve the probability of meeting your projections and minimizing project execution capital cost blowout that has become so prevalent in this industry in recent years. Mineral Property Evaluation provides guidelines to follow in performing mineral property feasibility and evaluation studies and due diligence, and in preparing proper documents for bankable presentations. It highlights the need for a consistent, systematic methodology in performing evaluation and feasibility work. The objective of a feasibility and evaluation study should be to assess the value of the undeveloped or developed mineral property and to convey these findings to the company that is considering applying technical and physical changes to bring the property into production of a mineral product. The analysis needs to determine the net present worth returned to the company for investing in these changes and to reach that decision point as early as possible and with the least amount of money spent on the evaluation study. All resources are not reserves, nor are all minerals an ore. The successful conclusion of any property evaluation depends on the development, work, and conclusions of the project team. The handbook has a diverse audience: • Professionals in the minerals industry that perform mineral property evaluations. • Companies that have mineral properties and perform mineral property feasibility studies and evaluations or are buying properties based on property evaluation. • Financial institutions, both domestic and overseas, that finance or raise capital for the minerals industry. • Consulting firms and architectural and engineering contractors that utilize mineral property feasibility studies and need standards to follow. • And probably the most important, the mining and geological engineering students and geology and economic geology students that need to learn the standards that they should follow throughout their careers.
