Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Estudios de crítica textual by : Gaspar Morocho Gayo
Download or read book Estudios de crítica textual written by Gaspar Morocho Gayo and published by EDITUM. This book was released on 2004 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Critica written by Jaumann and published by BRILL. This book was released on 1995-07-01 with total page 445 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In answering questions such as what is 'modern' in literary criticism since the beginnings of the Early Modern age, this book does not follow the lines of René Wellek's famous History of Modern Criticism. It does not re-examine the history of literary theories and poetics. It rather focuses on the concepts and uses of what can be called 'practical criticism' (Buchkritik) and the historicity of its institutional and categorical frames of references. Viewing them as fundamental structures of literary production, reception and communication, this study traces the emergence of a temporalization of cultural processing, the periodical organization of a critical response as published in the new medium of the journal, and the development of different uses and functions of the literary canon. In analysis, two basic paradigms of criticism have to be confronted: the classical model of a critica perennis, as part of grammatica as an institution of learning, and the new conception and practice of critique mondaine, which emerges as an institution in its own right during the 16th and 17th centuries in Europe.
Book Synopsis Manual de crítica literaria contemporánea by : Fernando Gómez Redondo
Download or read book Manual de crítica literaria contemporánea written by Fernando Gómez Redondo and published by Castalia Publishing Company. This book was released on 2008-01-01 with total page 511 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Reading Notes written by Dirk Van Hulle and published by Rodopi. This book was released on 2004 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reading notes constitute a vast resource for an understanding of literary history and culture. They indicate what writers read as well as how they read and what they used in their own work. As such, they play an important role in both the reception and the production of texts. The essays in this volume, representing the newest trends in European and international textual scholarship, examine literary creation and the relationship between reading and writing. To study how readers respond to writing and how reading engenders new writing, the contributing scholars no longer take for granted that authors write in splendid isolation, but turn to a more broadly sociological investigation of authorship, assigning new roles to the writer as reader, notetaker, annotator, book collector and so on. Notes and annotations may be fragmentary, private, undigested and embryonic, but as witnesses to the reading process, they tell unique stories about writers and readers, ranging from great marginalists like Coleridge to women annotators of cookbooks. This subject of research is a junction of several fields of research and tries to bridge gaps between separate disciplines with a common ground, such as the history of the book, the history of reading, and the history of writing, scholarly editing, and textual genetics (the analysis, commentary and critical interpretation of the way in which works of art come into being), bridging the gap between literary and textual criticism.

Book Synopsis Scribes and Translators by : Natalio Fernández Marcos
Download or read book Scribes and Translators written by Natalio Fernández Marcos and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2014-09-03 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scribes and Translators is a critical reflection on the textual pluralism as reflected in the book of Kings. The first part of the book examines the diverse texts transmitted by the manuscripts. Special attention is paid to the Antiochene text of the Septuagint that is being edited in Madrid. The second part is devoted to the analysis of Old Latin readings, transmitted by a Spanish family of Vulgate Bibles, with no support in any of the known manuscripts. Finally, the whole evidence is discussed in the frame of the plurality of texts confirmed by the Qumran documents for those books. Based on Old Latin material recently published it sheds light on the text transmission of Kings and on the translation techniques and the history of the Biblical texts in general.
