Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE SECRET TO THE HAPPINESS IS WITHIN YOU AND YOU CAN REVEAL IT A personal mission statement is the most powerful tool you can develop in your life. By identifying your single motivating purpose and incorporating it into your philosophy, you will have the tools to achieve happiness and success on a daily basis. I wrote “A Personal Mission Statement: Your Roadmap to Happiness” to teach you what a personal mission statement is, how to create one and, if you already have one, how to use it effectively. Unsure of what a personal mission statement is? A personal mission statement is a compass to guide your life. Though the terrain of your life can change rapidly, using this compass will ensure you always find happiness and success. Am I an expert in this field? I may not have letters like Ph.D. after my name, but I have discovered the secrets of creating personal mission statements and the amazing power they have to change lives. I have made my own and use it. But, don’t take my word, see what this reader had to say: "You convinced me to review, rewrite and resume my Personal Mission Statement. Michal, I don't know how to thank you. You have given me so much....now to do it. May you be blessed with much more!" -- Nina Malinda, Malaysia I've seen extraordinary changes in my life as a result of following my personal mission statement, and so have many others. You can easily join the ranks of people transforming their lives! Not just the “how” There are plenty of resources available online with advice on creating a personal mission statement. In today's world we are overloaded with information, what we need is motivation to actually implement the knowledge we've gained. My book not only shares the “how,” but also the “why.” Another benefit of my book is that it includes the story of my struggle in crafting my personal mission statement, offering encouragement as you create yours. "Your mission creation process has been inspiring. It's very worthwhile work." -- Anthony Smits, New Zealand 6 ways to leverage your personal mission statement - achieve faster results in your life! If you are an advanced student of personal development, you have your goals defined, you know yourself, your weaknesses and strengths, but you may not have formed a personal mission statement yet - this book can still be useful for you. Check out Chapters 4 - "Chiseling your personal mission statement out of raw material," and 5 - "I have it, what's next?" This book can be helpful for you even if you already have a personal mission statement, but are not using it. If you made your statement, but haven’t begun using it, check out Chapter 5 - "I have it! What's next?" A personal mission statement is generally written, but if you are more responsive to visual or audio stimuli, I will show how you can use your written mission statement in conjunction with pictures and sounds. “A Personal Mission Statement: Your Roadmap to Happiness” contains: 8 high quality links to personal mission statement examples. 27 question sets. 10 mental exercises. 6 ways to put your personal mission statement into use. An inspiring, true story all in less than 9000 words, so you can begin transforming your life today. Get started immediately

Book excerpt: PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT WORKBOOK Any great journey starts with a single step, and writing your personal mission statement is no different. As you approach this process, think of it as a journey that is not time-bound, not guided by deadline, not imposed on you by any external requirement. Rather, it will take the time it takes, and will take no more and no less than necessary. The process presented here offers a roadmap to developing this statement. Dedicate time when you can give focused thought to the exercises within this guidebook. It needn't be at a desk. It doesn't have to be long stretches. Simply strive to find time each day to give thought to the step that you're at. first step is done: you have found this guidebook. Welcome to the voyage that will change your life. What was the inspiration for this book? It all started one day in the car as I was driving along First Avenue North in Saint Petersburg, Florida, heading home from an afternoon meeting. "Maybe this is as good as it gets...?" I tentatively thought, realizing that after keeping up with the latest personal development trends I felt that there wasn't a specific end-goal that would indicate to me that I had made it. The grind of constant attention to making things productive, optimized, efficient, rewarding, mindful, and tidy had exhausted me. Sure, I was living my life fully and grateful every day, but I felt that without finding something that would indicate that I had achieved my goal of personal development, I would continue to feel incomplete and inadequate. Conversely, however, I really enjoyed day-to-day life. I was happy. I journaled. I had practices for mindfulness. But I felt that I still couldn't get off the treadmill of self-help movements. In many ways, the self-help trends got me here. In that moment, however, I recognized that they couldn't get me there: to the place of recognizing that I had become the person who I was meant to be. They created a tableau in my world view that had me feeling disjointed. I had envisioned each as the be-all, end-all complete fix. I realized that I didn't have anything that stitched all of these valuable experiences together. Without something that captured the bigger picture, I only had small pieces of the collage. And then it struck me one day. When I met my husband a decade ago, I had been so impressed to learn that he had a personal mission statement which he used to inspire a daily life of purpose and to inform bigger life decisions. Over time, seeing how he used his statement made me realize that if I had my own statement, all of the deliberate personal-growth efforts would be connected, and I would know which areas still needed additional work. I drafted, redrafted, revisited, and finally landed on the statement I have today. Armed with this personal constitution, I found that my daily life became much more resolute. I knew what I stood for; I knew what I valued; I knew who I wanted to be. And several years later, I realized that part of my mission had still gone untouched: using the words that I write to connect to the spirit of the world. I had been a regular contributor for a local newspaper and my day job fulfilled much of my creative writing aspirations, but I knew there was more to be done. This book, and The Mission Labs project, was born out of this journey as the on-the-ground tactical method for helping others develop the mission statements that define purposeful lives. The Mission Labs' sole purpose is to link together the self-development work you're already doing with your higher vision for yourself, a link that creates a powerful, on-purpose life.

Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a beloved deli with some of the most loyal clientele around. It has been praised for its products and service in media outlets far and wide, including the New York Times, Men's Journal, Inc. Magazine, Esquire, Atlantic Monthly, USA Today, and Fast Company. And what started out as a small deli has grown to a flourishing restaurant, catering service, bakery, mail-order operation, creamery, and training business. Booming business and loyal customers are proof enough that the Zingerman's team knows a thing or two about customer service. Now in Zingerman's Guide to Giving Great Service, co-founder Ari Weinzweig shares the unique Zingerman method of treating customers, giving the reader step-by-step instructions on what to teach staff, how to train them, how to implement the training, how to measure their success, and finally, how to reward performance. Some of Zingerman's time-tested principles: Customers who get a great product but poor service won't be as loyal as those who are disappointed with a product but get great service. You'll get more complaints if people believe you care enough to listen to them. And that's a good thing. Employees who are rewarded, respected, and well cared for treat customers the same way.
