Within its walls, a magical creature called a 'Maker' busily created the next of his kin. Upon completion, the creator was whisked away to join the rest of the Maker community. Meanwhile, their progeny was left alone to create the next Maker in a never-ending cycle of creation. That was, until the day an offbeat Maker named Ario was unable to complete 'The Making' and broke their sacred chain of existence. Wracked with guilt, Ario embarked on a quest to right his wrong, but what he discovered was far more monstrous and miraculous than anyone ever imagined. Book excerpt: Escape the prison without walls A very perceptive joker once said: the only real difference between people is the size of their cages. What he meant, is that humanity is now in a cage, and that this cage imprisons us as individuals to the extent that we have the knowledge, and the personal power to fight against its binding forces. This cage is so well hidden and designed that most either don't know that they are in it, or even care to know about their current imprisonment at all. But this lack of awareness or desire for freedom has a price as most things do, and that price is that the large majority of people will live and die within the boundaries of a three-dimensional prison, a prison without walls, never knowing just how much potential they have; that indeed we are all incredibly magical creatures that can even learn to fly free across the infinite cosmos. Alchemists are people who have awakened to the fact this prison without walls exists, and they have dedicated their lives to escaping it. Their work, their doing, has for the most part been kept a secret from the majority of the human world, with only small portions of this knowledge escaping into the mainstream in the form of riddles, cryptic images, arcane formulas, and hit and miss techniques and methodologies. In this second course book in the trilogy, dedicated to the Alchemical road to immortality, I reveal the way of the projectionist, and the SECRET FORMULA that can allow you to break free from the unseen prison that binds you and most of humanity. This hidden knowledge, along with step-by-step techniques are revealed to you as I show you how to move through the Rooms of the Projectionist. THE REAL KEY TO astral travel, lucid dreams, out of body experiences and ALL altered states of consciousness. Here you will find the TRIUNE FORMULA that can allow you to leave behind the physical body, and break free of the corporeal prison in order to do and see everything that you have ever desired. In this course book you will discover: What the prison without walls is all about How to discover and free the hidden self, the True Self How to project your consciousness beyond your body How to induce altered states of consciousness without ritual, subterfuge, or drugs How to discover any secret, go anywhere, and travel through endless dimensions How to overcome and bind any situation to your power using the art of Cubing How to achieve true enlightenment and unite the inner and outer aspects of the complete individuality The truth about how an Alchemist, as a projectionist, attains immortality...and how you can start this journey yourself! This second part of the trilogy, that started with The Magnum Opus, reveals the truth about the human condition and how to continue the journey towards eventual immortality, a journey that takes you, as a powerful practicing projectionist, on an unmeasurable road past incalculable pleasures and truly alien and awesome vistas beyond all rational understanding. Some have asked why each course is presented as a book. Why not make a video course or some other digital presentation that is more popular in this era? And the reason for this is quite simply: time. I have been around long enough, and my senses have become keen enough to see some of the intricacies of this world. Through such experience and perceptions, I have seen things peak and wane, and I have seen many things lost within the medium of time. Videos and digital formats require complex systems to work and be maintained, and such complex systems are usually the first to fall, or change when exposed to the brutal torrents and extreme pressures of time. But a print book (as well as an ebook for your convenience if you like), is something that you can keep in your personal library for a lifetime with only moderate care.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, historian María M. Portuondo takes us to sixteenth-century Spain, where she identifies a community of natural philosophers and biblical scholars. They shared what she calls the “Spanish Disquiet”—a preoccupation with the perceived shortcomings of prevailing natural philosophies and empirical approaches when it came to explaining the natural world. Foremost among them was Benito Arias Montano—Spain’s most prominent biblical scholar and exegete of the sixteenth century. He was also a widely read member of the European intellectual community, and his motivation to reform natural philosophy shows that the Spanish Disquiet was a local manifestation of greater concerns about Aristotelian natural philosophy that were overtaking Europe on the eve of the Scientific Revolution. His approach to the study of nature framed the natural world as unfolding from a series of events described in the Book of Genesis, ultimately resulting in a new metaphysics, cosmology, physics, and even a natural history of the world. By bringing Arias Montano’s intellectual and personal biography into conversation with broader themes that inform histories of science of the era, The Spanish Disquiet ensures an appreciation of the variety and richness of Arias Montano’s thought and his influence on early modern science.

Why does Jane Austen call Mr Dashwood's wife 'a strong caricature of himself'? Why does Mary Shelley describe the body of Frankenstein's creature as 'in proportion', but then 'distorted in its proportions' – and does caricature have anything to do with it? This book answers those questions, shifting our understanding of 'caricature' as a literary-critical term in the decades when 'the English novel' was first defined and canonised as a distinct literary entity. Novels incorporated caricature talk and anti-caricature rhetoric to tell readers what different realisms purported to show them. Recovering the period's concept of caricature, Caricature and Realism in the Romantic Novel sheds light on formal realism's self-reflexivity about the 'caricature' of artifice, exaggeration and imagination. Book excerpt: "Two men from two different worlds, with hearts aligned in a staccato beat." Blind from childhood, Yanik experiences life though taste, touch, feel, sound. And his passion for music was the heart of all of those things, leaving room for nothing else. But his dreams of making it in the classical world didn't last after his brother calls him home to take care of their dying father. It's easy for Nik to resign himself to watching his career crumble-now relegated to an elementary school music teacher where the parents see blind musicians as side-show acts. He can even resign himself to being alone the rest of his life, because he's long-since accepted he's an impossible man to love. But he's not sure he can live with the sudden rush of desire that crashes through him the moment he meets Adam-a bright spark in his sea of turmoil. Adam is the sort of man Nik has never allowed himself to want-a guitarist in a punk band working at the local tattoo shop, with no real direction in life. And it doesn't take long for Adam to get under his skin. But just as Nik is finally is starting to feel settled, one of his idols shows up at his door and offers him the chance to leave everything behind and work with one of the most prestigious composers in Rome-Nicolas Michaud. With the most talented modern composers at his disposal, Nik will be able to compose his Magnum Opus for the world to hear. But will it mean anything at all without Adam by his side?

Book excerpt: Aiming squarely at replacing capitalism with an ecologically sound and socially just society, Magdoff and Williams provide accounts of how a new world can be created from the ashes of the old. They show that it is possible to envision and create a society that is genuinely democratic, equitable, and ecologically sustainable. And possible--not one moment too soon--for society to change fundamentally and be brought into harmony with nature. --From publisher description.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published in 1973, this is the first book on Paul Tillich in which a sustained attempt is made to sort out and evaluate the questions to which Tillich addresses himself in the crucial philosophical parts of his theological system. It is argued that despite the apparent simplicity in his interest in the ‘question of being’, Tillich in fact conceives of the ontological enterprise in a number of radically different ways in different contexts. Much of Professor Macleod’s work is devoted to the careful separation of these strands in his philosophical thought and to an exploration and assessment of the assumptions associated with them. This book will be of interest to readers of Tillich and philosophers who specialise in ontology and linguistics.

It is from the British Museum printed book, 122 pages, 8905 A 15 in German "Donum Dei" (Samullis Baruch), "Abraham the Jew" (in German), 87 pages bound with 9005 A 15. Abraham Eleazar was probably a fictitious name used by the author. It appears that the book was first published in Leipzig in 1760 with the title, "R. Abrahami Eleazaris Uraltes Chymisches Werk," although an edition from 1735 is said to exist (see Note at the end of the Forward). The author might have been Julius Gervasius of Schwarzburg. The Forward states that the author took illustrations from the copper tablets of Tubal-Cain, a person mentioned in Genesis 4:22.

This book concerns his three-year research expedition through the Chinese Empire (1906–1909). He was the first Westerner to systematically document China’s religious architecture, returning from his travels with thousands of photographs, sketches, and architectural surveys. His six major publications leading up to 1931, described here alongside the reactions they caused, were milestones on the path to formal study of Chinese architectural history, long before Chinese academics themselves began to take interest in the subject in the 1930s.
