Discovering that her parents are imprisoned in the realm of Dofstram by the power-hungry Zanus, Lottie was forced to enter this strange world to save them. Now Lottie is faced with her greatest test yet as she returns once again to the hidden realm that lies within an old grandfather clock. Lottie and her allies must prepare to fight for the last time but first they must embark on a terrifying mission to the depths of Zanus’s dungeon. Despite the help of her talking pets, Scruffy and Allsorts, Lottie faces the warped creations of the witch-creature Imelda and the ferocious Crocanthus and she begins to doubt that she will make it through alive… In The Battle for Dofstram, the trilogy reaches its epic conclusion as the hordes of foul creatures led by Zanus collide with Lottie, King Alfreston and their allies in a dramatic final confrontation. The young library assistant is in mortal danger, though she is hardly aware of it, and certainly has no inkling why. Who are those two ugly, menacing, but fortunately comically inept thugs who follow her to work? Can she even trust her friends? Fortunately for Lottie, those on the side of good also know the secrets that have yet to be revealed to her, and she is surrounded by protective forces, both human and animal. But there is powerful magic on both sides, and she will need all her wits and all her courage if she is to survive. This is the first part of an epic tale of myth and magic in a modern setting, with surprises at every turn.

'Aspects of Marriage' will help you to understand why your marriage is failing and how, with God's help, you can make it work. It will also help you to know what to do when you are called to provide wise counsel to a couple experiencing a failing marriage. When Pastor Oghenethoja Umuteme heard God calling him to write a book on marriage he set to work without delay. Having spoken to many people enduring marital problems, he found that problems often start at the beginning with a marriage which was not founded properly in God's eyes. This book goes to the heart of all kinds of marriage problems and will help any couple to understand what is going wrong and why, and how they can take the path to a happier and more fulfilling Christian marriage.

Book excerpt: The evil thugs of Idi Amin's Uganda and the fanatical bombers and machine-gun-toting terrorists of Mumbai make The Crocodile's Teeth a gripping tale of one man's survival and resourcefulness set against a background of tyranny, terror and hardship on two continents. Sam Thaker was born to Indian immigrant parents in Uganda in the days when it was one of the most beautiful, fertile and contented countries in the world. Then Idi Amin swept to power, and under his tyranny Sam's paradise became a hell on Earth. Having been forced by Amin's thugs to give up their home, Sam's thriving airline cargo business and most of their money and possessions, he and his family began a new life in England as near-penniless refugees. But Sam was a survivor. Ignoring his bank manager's patronising advice to open a corner shop, he decided instead to build on his experience in the cargo business to start up a London-based air freight company. Realising the immense potential of the Indian import market, he returned to the land of his fathers to build an international company which eventually opened offices in eight Indian cities. Along the way he and his wife were caught up in the wave of terrorism which struck Bombay in 1993 and again in 2008, and narrowly escaped the floods which struck the city in 2005 and drowned more than 5000 people. The Crocodile's Teeth is a fascinating portrait of survival and resourcefulness against a background of tyranny and terror on two continents.

Book excerpt: When Shahnaz refused to accept the abuse, she was plunged into violent conflict with her family, who condemned her for bringing disrespect on their name by trying to win her independence. They repeatedly assaulted and humiliated her to make her toe the line. After she left her second husband to get away from the beatings, they imprisoned her in her own bedroom. When they later tricked her into joining them in Pakistan she was beaten, stripped of her possessions, threatened with shooting and drowning and put under house arrest. It was only through her intelligence and extraordinary courage that Shahnaz was eventually able to win her freedom and her family’s respect and start building an independent life in England with her daughter and third husband. Now Shahnaz (she has used a pen-name to avoid embarrassment for her family) has written her extraordinary, compelling story.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ÿWhen seventeen-year-old Marie Sinclair travelled to Strathlinn in Scotland in 1920 to visit her brother and his new family, all she was looking for is rest and recuperation after the death of Lady Hanley, for whom she had been caring for over the past eighteen months. But when her pregnant sister-in-law is rushed to hospital in danger of the life of her and her twins, Marie is forced to take on a far greater role in the lives of her Scottish family. And who is Mark Blackwood, the new, young Estate owner, who seems only interested in machines and who is struggling under the new responsibilities of running the estate and gathering rent from tenants who are not always inclined to pay? Meeting him on the train to Strathlinn, Marie's life becomes entwined with his, as friend, help-meet, and, maybe, something more? `Full of complex, loveable characters, and poised at a moment when the world is changing in new and dramatic ways, A Scottish Destiny is a beautiful novel which explores how, in a world turned upside down, the things that bind us continue to do so - family, responsibility and, though Marie dare not whisper it to herself, love. From the author of Return to Bonnybrae, this is another gripping tale of love in a heart-warming climate.

But through it all she has clung to the certainty that God has a purpose for her in life and that He is there constantly for her and for all of us. She believes He is continually communicating with us, but that many fail to recognise His voice. Not a Complete Shambles is a frank and honest account of Nikki's spiritual experiences and of her own very powerful relationship with God, highlighting God's humanity and announcing a wonderful celebration to come.

Book excerpt: This true-life novel was written in the aftermath of the Second World War and the author’s terrible experiences in a Nazi death camp. Only now has it been published for the first time. Edith Hofmann is a survivor of the Holocaust, born in Prague in 1927 as Edith Birkin. In 1941, along with her parents, she was deported to the Lodz Ghetto, where within a year both her parents had died. At 15 she was left to fend for herself. The Lodz Ghetto was the second-largest ghetto to Warsaw, and was established for Jews and Gypsies in German-occupied Poland. Situated in the town of Lodz in Poland and originally intended as a temporary gathering point for Jews, the ghetto was transformed into a major industrial centre, providing much needed supplies for Nazi Germany and especially for the German Army. Because of its remarkable productivity, the ghetto managed to survive until August 1944, when the remaining population, including Edith, was transported to Auschwitz and Chelmno extermination camp in cattle trucks. It was the last ghetto in Poland to be liquidated due to the advancing Russian army. Edith was only 17, and one of the lucky ones. For the majority, it was their final journey. A small group of them were selected for work. With her hair shaved off and deprived of all her possessions, she travelled to Kristianstadt, a labour camp in Silesia, to work in an underground munitions factory.

This book was released on 2021-09-08 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There were deep personal motives for John Hedge's original decision to enter the Probation Service as a young Social Science graduate in 1970; his own mother, a struggling publican, had been put on probation during his youth, and he had seen how the service can prevent a criminal conviction from ruining a life beyond repair. He spent the next 37 years working to try to give offenders a chance and help them move away from crime and find their way to a law-abiding existence. The barriers to success were all too often the attitudes of police and sentencers, the state of prisons and the prejudices of ignorant or biased politicians. This is a candid account of those years of hard work, frustration, and occasional triumph
