Take your child on an exciting journey through the entire ABC and all the numbers from 0 to 30 with: Letter And Number Tracing Book For Kids Ages 3-5: A Fun Practice Workbook To Learn The Alphabet And Numbers From 0 To 30 For Preschoolers And Kindergarten Kids! This exercise book introduces your child to writing letters and numbers in a playful and age-appropriate manner that will help him or her get to know the alphabet and the numbers 0 to 30. In this way, children are guided and optimally prepared for pre-school and primary school. The book is divided into sections: numbers and letters. The learning process is guided as follows: Letters Every letter is new territory for your child. The first step is to get to know the letter and practice through the correct pen guidance by simply tracing it. This is followed by a word containing the letter you have just learned. So your child learns to put the letter in a word. Encourage your child to read the word aloud to directly practice the corresponding sound. Finally, your child learns to write the letter freely and independently. Numbers To understand the meaning of numbers, your child starts counting picture elements. Then, just as with letters, he or she will have to trace the numbers. As soon as they become more confident, free writing follows the number you have just learned, with guidelines ensuring that the number is placed at the correct height. In both areas, learning takes place in a meaningful and reliable structure that gives your child security and constantly encourages them to see their own progress. Parents can help their children work through this exercise book and provide the necessary support. After all, writing is not easy for every child. Parents should keep a special eye on the correct pen position and hand guidance and celebrate every milestone with their child. For both numbers and letters, encourage your child to speak out loud about what he or she has learned. The more senses are involved in the learning process, the faster and easier it is to learn. By completing this exercise book, your child will be able to write the lower and upper case letters from A to Z, as well as the numbers 0 to 30. It is especially important that your child can work and learn at their own pace. This is the only way to keep the fun and become more confident in writing from letter to letter, or from number to number. A quick look at the most important facts of the book: Suitable for children from ages 3 to 5 Sensible structure that optimally accompanies the learning process Great preparation for pre-school and kindergarten A fun way to learn the numbers from 0 to 30 and the letters A to Z Designed and sensibly structured to suit children Promotes correct pen management and concentration Lots of space for free practice Lovely designs Combine play with learning. Benefit from "Letter And Number Tracing Book For Kids Ages 3-5" and accompany your child within a meaningful structure on the way to writing letters and numbers! Get this book NOW!

Book excerpt: Helping Your Children with Reading and Writing at Home By Mary Ann Colbert & Dr. William P. Colbert There really is no place like home when it comes to developing competent readers and writers. And with the aid of our new world changing guide the process and the goal of developing lifelong readers and writers will be greatly facilitated. Many years ago we set about finding out what type of reading and writing help parents and other adults were giving children and how it was working, We asked everyone and anyone who would talk with us and we came up with some rather startling information to share in our guide. Now talking with parents, grandparents. adults and children about the reading and writing activities they have experienced at home is second nature to us. Through the years, we have discovered that a great many things arc happening in American homes relative to helping children in these areas and even greater things are possible. The purpose of our book (We like to call it a guide.) is to awaken parents. grandparents and other adults, who work with children, to the great possibilities that are open to them that will revolutionize learning now and for future generations. The ideas, suggestions and strategies in our guide step off from the interests of the learners (which are the best indicators of what the children are ready and able to learn next) as opposed to curriculums and textbooks which often have an iron grip on what is available for young students to learn. We show our readers how to take advantage of the great knowledge they have about their children and how to use it to guide their children’s learning., and, more especially. to identify what is the next appropriate step for their children to take in their learning. All this is done in the home setting with family members participating and sharing the fruits of their learning labors. Besides giant leaps in learning, families can expect outstanding growth in family interpersonal relationships. The family is actually drawn closer together by sharing their diverse interests.. At the onset of the guide adults are asked to compare their thinking on reading and writing learning with some of the experts in the field via a true-false checklist. This technique totally involves parents with the book from the start. and parents are often surprised to see how their thinking coincides with experts in the field. The next section contains three case studies that illustrate, in detail, exactly what some very effective adults did to further the reading and writing skills of the children with whom they worked. The third sections contain some precise strategies that parents and other adults can begin using today with their children. The next sections identifies what children see as effective reading and writing strategies that are used by parents and their teachers. Section five is a summary of some ideas of some great teachers of reading and writing. The ideas here are undergirded by some sound learning principles which every adult, who works with children, will want to know about. The final section ends much like the guide begins with a checklist of some true - false items that will help guide parents and other adults to increasing success in helping their children with reading and writing at home.

This book was released on 2014-12-18 with total page 302 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sound Steps to Reading Storybook contains the full text of the story fragment that begins each lesson. These stories should be read by the parent or teacher later on the same day after the lesson has been completed. Each story features the target sound (phoneme) for that lesson. The stories are humorous and written in rhyme. Trials in the U.S. and the U.K showed that children love them. Many children can begin reading these stories on their own (with a little help) about midway through the program. This is highly motivating. By the end of the program all children can read these stories with ease. The stories will work well with any synthetic phonics program that teaches the spelling alternatives for the sounds in English. Sound Steps to Reading is based on the author’s analysis of the English writing system, one of the most complex writing systems in the world. Mastering this complexity is solved by careful sequencing of the lessons so the child is never confronted with something he cannot do. Every lesson is scripted and no training is necessary to use this program. Lessons contain the same activities in the same order: 1) listening for the target sound in a story 2) a structured listening exercise 3) handwriting training and practice 4) segmenting and blending sounds in real words (reading) 5) copying words 6) spelling dictation 7) reading stories written with words/spellings taught so far. Lessons are cumulative. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson and only contains words with the sounds and spellings the child has been taught. When lessons proceed at the recommended pace of 3 lessons per week, most children become excellent readers, writers, and spellers in about 20-25 weeks. For classroom teachers, lessons will take about one school year. It is advised that the later lessons (last set) be reviewed at the start of first grade. Research results. A study on two kindergarten classrooms was carried out at the Willows School In Los Angeles. Most children could not read at the start of school. When they were tested at the end of the year, 42% scored in the top 1% in the nation, and 75% scored in the top 10%, based on test norms. All but one child scored well above “average.” There are two components to this program. The complete program must include both books. • The Sound Steps to Reading Handbook contains all lessons, all exercises and worksheets. • The Sound Steps to Reading Storybook contains the full text of the story fragment that begins each lesson.

Book excerpt: Still the biggest concern for many on initial teacher training courses is the acquisition of subject knowledge and the ability to translate that into effective teaching. This book addresses this - building on the core subject knowledge covered in the Achieving QTS series and relating it to classroom practice. It supports trainees in extending and deepening their knowledge of English and demonstrating how to apply it to planning and implementing lessons. Practical and up-to-date teaching examples are used to clearly contextualize subject knowledge. A clear focus on classroom practice helps trainees to build confidence and develop their own teaching strategies.
