Estos valores son eternos y elevan la vida humana a su m�s alta expresi�n, a su mayor capacidad.Todos ellos contienen una energ�a intr�nseca muy din�mica y tienen la particularidad de que no siguen las leyes de la ciencia, es decir no pueden agotarse ni est�n supeditados a ning�n tipo de proceso, no se terminan, m�s bien al contrario, se multiplican en tanto en cuanto se apliquen d�a a d�a, trayendo beneficios solo para el emisor sino tambi�n para el receptor.Estos valores son eternos y aunque existan nuevas costumbres a trav�s de la historia, se considera que deben trascender y mantenerse inalterables, dado que definen al ser humano como especie, ya que constituyen una gu�a que ayuda a las personas a orientarse hacia el descubrimiento de s� mismos estimulando su proyecci�n a la eternidad. "Todo valor supone la existencia de una cosa o persona que lo posee y de un sujeto que lo aprecia o descubre, pero no es ni lo uno ni lo otro. Los valores no tienen existencia real sino adherida a los objetos que lo sostienen. Antes son meras posibilidades." (Prieto Figueroa, 1984, p. 186).Aun cuando el tema de los valores es considerado relativamente reciente en filosof�a, los valores est�n presentes desde los inicios de la humanidad. Para el ser humano siempre han existido cosas valiosas: el bien, la verdad, la belleza, la felicidad, la virtud. Sin embargo, el criterio para darles valor ha variado a trav�s de los tiempos. Se puede valorar de acuerdo con criterios est�ticos, esquemas sociales, costumbres, principios �ticos o, en otros t�rminos, por el costo, la utilidad, el bienestar, el placer, el prestigio.Los valores son producto de cambios y transformaciones a lo largo de la historia. Surgen con un especial significado y cambian o desaparecen en las distintas �pocas. Por ejemplo, la virtud y la felicidad son valores; pero no podr�amos ense�ar a las personas del mundo actual a ser virtuosas seg�n la concepci�n que tuvieron los griegos de la antig�edad. Es precisamente el significado social que se atribuye a los valores uno de los factores que influye para diferenciar los valores tradicionales, aquellos que guiaron a la sociedad en el pasado, generalmente referidos a costumbres culturales o principios religiosos, y los valores modernos, los que comparten las personas de la sociedad actual.
