Book Synopsis CRC Handbook of Digital System Design, Second Edition by : Wen C. Lin
Download or read book CRC Handbook of Digital System Design, Second Edition written by Wen C. Lin and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1990-09-25 with total page 502 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As technology advances, digital system designers must acquire and maintain skills to design systems with analog, pulse/time, and digital circuits along with LSI and VLSI devices. The CRC Handbook of Digital System Design, Second Edition reviews the fundamentals of these topics for the convenience of designers who need to refresh their memories from time to time. In a somewhat unique presentation, this book integrates theory with practical design and covers three broad topics: The basics- formulas, design equation, terminology, symbols, and notation Characterstics, properties, and principles of operation of devices, modules, and building blocks frequently used as components in digital system design Design procedures-guidelines for system design presented through examples The author includes numerous examples, both simple and complex, throughout the book that help clarify points often confusing or overlooked. He also addresses memory and arithmetic unit design, techniques of grounding and shielding for analog and digital noise, and graphical techniques for nonlinear circuits and transmission line analysis. The style is straightforward, the treatment self-contained and practical. The CRC Handbook of Digital System Design, Second Edition remains a popular and valuable resource for anyone involved in digital system design.

Book Synopsis Digital Mobile Communications and the TETRA System by : John Dunlop
Download or read book Digital Mobile Communications and the TETRA System written by John Dunlop and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-08-15 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: TETRA is a system for mobile wireless communications and this is ahighly topical and comprehensive introduction to the design andapplications of TETRA systems including practical examples. TETRAis comparable in structure to the world-wide successful GSM system, however, individual features of TETRA are different, often moreefficient and better designed than in GSM. TETRA is thereforeproviding an important source for the further development ofstandards for mobile telecommunications. This volume is timely and one of the first to cover TETRA andrelated subject areas. Features include: * Detailed discussion of public and private mobile communicationsdomain * Architecture, components and services of TETRA and * Design and operational aspects of the system Based on courses for industry, presented by the authors, DigitalMobile Communications and the TETRA System will prove indispensablereading for service providers, design engineers and systemsmanagers in the private mobile communications market. It alsoprovides a thorough grounding in general digital mobilecommunications for communications engineers and undergraduate andpostgraduate students in telecommunications.

Book Synopsis Optimum Design of Sampled Data Systems with Random Parameters by : Stanford University Stanford Electronics Laboratories
Download or read book Optimum Design of Sampled Data Systems with Random Parameters written by Stanford University Stanford Electronics Laboratories and published by . This book was released on 1961 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Three problem areas associated with the design of linear sampled-data systems are considered. The first arises from having the transition and distribution matrices of the system be random variables, i.e., the random parameter problem; the second from having multiplicative noise at the input to the system, this being a special case of the first problem area; and the third from being unable to measure the state vector of the system exactly. In each of these 3 areas, the performance of the system is measured by using either a generalized sum-squared-error, a final-value, or a minimum-time criterion. The design procedures are based either upon minimizing the expected value of the performance index or upon minimiz'ng the performance index in the presence of worst-case variations within the system, e.g., minimizing the expected value of the sumsquared-error. In general, the results are in the form of feedback coefficients which relate the value of the optimum input to the value of the state vector of the system. (Author).
Book Synopsis Complex Digital Hardware Design by : Istvan Nagy
Download or read book Complex Digital Hardware Design written by Istvan Nagy and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-05-09 with total page 618 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about how to design the most complex types of digital circuit boards used inside servers, routers and other equipment, from high-level system architecture down to the low-level signal integrity concepts. It explains common structures and subsystems that can be expanded into new designs in different markets. The book is targeted at all levels of hardware engineers. There are shorter, lower-level introductions to every topic, while the book also takes the reader all they way to the most complex and most advanced topics of digital circuit design, layout design, analysis, and hardware architecture.
