La question « Pourquoi est-il si difficile de parler d’architecture? » est de cette sorte. Interrogeant les raisons qui rendent difficile le fait de parler d’architecture, elle oblige en définitive à parler de celle-ci et à courir le risque d’échouer sur les écueils annoncés. Sous ses dehors inoffensifs, il s’agit en fait d’une « question piège ».
