Book Synopsis Locally Analytic Vectors in Representations of Locally P-adic Analytic Groups by : Matthew Emerton
Download or read book Locally Analytic Vectors in Representations of Locally P-adic Analytic Groups written by Matthew Emerton and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The goal of this memoir is to provide the foundations for the locally analytic representation theory that is required in three of the author's other papers on this topic. In the course of writing those papers the author found it useful to adopt a particular point of view on locally analytic representation theory: namely, regarding a locally analytic representation as being the inductive limit of its subspaces of analytic vectors (of various "radii of analyticity"). The author uses the analysis of these subspaces as one of the basic tools in his study of such representations. Thus in this memoir he presents a development of locally analytic representation theory built around this point of view. The author has made a deliberate effort to keep the exposition reasonably self-contained and hopes that this will be of some benefit to the reader

Book Synopsis p-adic Banach Space Representations by : Dubravka Ban
Download or read book p-adic Banach Space Representations written by Dubravka Ban and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-02-11 with total page 219 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book systematically develops the theory of continuous representations on p-adic Banach spaces. Its purpose is to lay the foundations of the representation theory of reductive p-adic groups on p-adic Banach spaces, explain the duality theory of Schneider and Teitelbaum, and demonstrate its applications to continuous principal series. Written to be accessible to graduate students, the book gives a comprehensive introduction to the necessary tools, including Iwasawa algebras, p-adic measures and distributions, p-adic functional analysis, reductive groups, and smooth and algebraic representations. Part 1 culminates with the duality between Banach space representations and Iwasawa modules. This duality is applied in Part 2 for studying the intertwining operators and reducibility of the continuous principal series on p-adic Banach spaces. This monograph is intended to serve both as a reference book and as an introductory text for graduate students and researchers entering the area.

Book Synopsis Automorphic Forms and Galois Representations: Volume 1 by : Fred Diamond
Download or read book Automorphic Forms and Galois Representations: Volume 1 written by Fred Diamond and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2014-10-16 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Automorphic forms and Galois representations have played a central role in the development of modern number theory, with the former coming to prominence via the celebrated Langlands program and Wiles' proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. This two-volume collection arose from the 94th LMS-EPSRC Durham Symposium on 'Automorphic Forms and Galois Representations' in July 2011, the aim of which was to explore recent developments in this area. The expository articles and research papers across the two volumes reflect recent interest in p-adic methods in number theory and representation theory, as well as recent progress on topics from anabelian geometry to p-adic Hodge theory and the Langlands program. The topics covered in volume one include the Shafarevich Conjecture, effective local Langlands correspondence, p-adic L-functions, the fundamental lemma, and other topics of contemporary interest.
Book Synopsis Cohomology of Arithmetic Groups by : James W. Cogdell
Download or read book Cohomology of Arithmetic Groups written by James W. Cogdell and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-08-18 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book discusses the mathematical interests of Joachim Schwermer, who throughout his career has focused on the cohomology of arithmetic groups, automorphic forms and the geometry of arithmetic manifolds. To mark his 66th birthday, the editors brought together mathematical experts to offer an overview of the current state of research in these and related areas. The result is this book, with contributions ranging from topology to arithmetic. It probes the relation between cohomology of arithmetic groups and automorphic forms and their L-functions, and spans the range from classical Bianchi groups to the theory of Shimura varieties. It is a valuable reference for both experts in the fields and for graduate students and postdocs wanting to discover where the current frontiers lie.

Book Synopsis Modern Trends in Algebra and Representation Theory by : David Jordan
Download or read book Modern Trends in Algebra and Representation Theory written by David Jordan and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2023-08-17 with total page 407 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Expanding upon the material delivered during the LMS Autumn Algebra School 2020, this volume reflects the fruitful connections between different aspects of representation theory. Each survey article addresses a specific subject from a modern angle, beginning with an exploration of the representation theory of associative algebras, followed by the coverage of important developments in Lie theory in the past two decades, before the final sections introduce the reader to three strikingly different aspects of group theory. Written at a level suitable for graduate students and researchers in related fields, this book provides pure mathematicians with a springboard into the vast and growing literature in each area.

Book Synopsis Rigid Character Groups, Lubin-Tate Theory, and (φ,Γ)-Modules by : Laurent Berger
Download or read book Rigid Character Groups, Lubin-Tate Theory, and (φ,Γ)-Modules written by Laurent Berger and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2020-04-03 with total page 75 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The construction of the p-adic local Langlands correspondence for GL2(Qp) uses in an essential way Fontaine's theory of cyclotomic (φ,Γ)-modules. Here cyclotomic means that Γ=Gal(Qp(μp∞)/Qp) is the Galois group of the cyclotomic extension of Qp. In order to generalize the p-adic local Langlands correspondence to GL2(L), where L is a finite extension of Qp, it seems necessary to have at our disposal a theory of Lubin-Tate (φ,Γ)-modules. Such a generalization has been carried out, to some extent, by working over the p-adic open unit disk, endowed with the action of the endomorphisms of a Lubin-Tate group. The main idea of this article is to carry out a Lubin-Tate generalization of the theory of cyclotomic (φ,Γ)-modules in a different fashion. Instead of the p-adic open unit disk, the authors work over a character variety that parameterizes the locally L-analytic characters on oL. They study (φ,Γ)-modules in this setting and relate some of them to what was known previously.
Book Synopsis On Operads, Bimodules and Analytic Functors by : Nicola Gambino
Download or read book On Operads, Bimodules and Analytic Functors written by Nicola Gambino and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2017-09-25 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The authors develop further the theory of operads and analytic functors. In particular, they introduce the bicategory of operad bimodules, that has operads as -cells, operad bimodules as -cells and operad bimodule maps as 2-cells, and prove that it is cartesian closed. In order to obtain this result, the authors extend the theory of distributors and the formal theory of monads.
