Under the leadership and spiritual oversight of Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille, a research team joined heads and hearts to be workmen of the Word of God. This research primarily focused on the seven church epistles. (Those books written directly to and for the body of believers in the Grace Administration). These books were Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Thessalonians. The research team involved various individuals over a time span of about ten years, while Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille's research was almost forty-five years in duration. Many books have been written as a result of this research. One of the results of this time in study is the "Literal According To Usage." Definition of "Literal According To Usage" A translation which reproduces the thoughts and meanings of the original based on the words in the original in relation to the verse, the context, the remoter context and to whom it's written. FOREWORD This work is being presented to help the individual understand the seven church epistles. It is to aide the workman of the Word in order to stand approved before God. Book excerpt: The Analytical-Literal Translation of the New Testament: Devotional Version (ALTD) is derived from the Analytical-Literal Translation of the New Testament: Third Edition (ALT3). The purpose of the ALTD is to provide a translation of the Greek New Testament that will enable the reader to come as close to the Greek text as possible without having to be proficient in Greek. And the name of the ALTD reflects this purpose. "Literal" refers to the fact that the ALTD is a word for word translation. All words in the original text are translated-nothing is omitted. The original grammar of the text is retained as much as possible. Any words added for clarity are bracketed, so nothing is added without it being indicated as such. "Analytical" refers to the detailed "analysis" done on the grammar of the text. The grammar is then translated in a way which brings out "nuances" of the original text that are often missed in traditional translations. In addition, "analytical" refers to the aids that are included in 4,300 footnotes which enable the reader to "analyze" and understand the text. Such information includes the following: 1. Alternative translations for words and phrases. 2. Possible figurative meanings or paraphrases of words and phrases. 3. Modern-day equivalents for measurement and monetary units and time designations. 4. Explanatory notes. 5. References for Old Testament quotations and other cross-references. The main difference between ALTD and ALT3 is that in this version the above analytical information is footnoted, while in ALT3 such information was included within brackets within the text. That made the information readily available, but it made the text awkward to read and to quote from. By putting this information in footnotes, the ALTD is a much easier to read version. Also, on rare occasions, when the literal translation is excessively awkward or hard to understand, it is footnoted and a figurative or less literal rendering is used in the text to make the ALTD more readable. When this is done, the literal translation is footnoted. The occasions when this is done are few and far between, and with the literal translation being footnoted, the ALTD is still a very literal translation of the New Testament. With being both a literal and a readable version, the ALTD is the ideal Bible version for reading the Bible in both a "study" and a "devotional" manner. It is also ideal for public reading, quoting, or for the person new to the Bible.

Basically, "Dynamic Equivalence" is storytelling or a short commentary of what God has breathed out to us. The alleged translator reads a passage of the Bible in its native language (Greek or Hebrew), perceives or interprets the meaning, and writes in his own words what the alleged translator believes the Bible is saying. There is no effort to translate each word of the Hebrew or Greek. This new KJ3 version is the version that lovers of God and His Word can safely use with the approval of God. You and every person will be judged by ALL of the words that God has written. Add to this, that God wrote in grammatical forms (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc.) Our Lord Jesus was always careful to keep the grammar of the Old Testament words He quoted in the New Testament. No other Bible version has ever strictly given the reader these grammatical forms as God has written them. The worst mistranslations: "Lord" for the divine name ("I am Jehovah, that is my name,"). God's name is mistranslated more than 6,000 times. Every nation had their lords, but only Israel had Jehovah as their God. All other countries were "the nations." In the New Testament "Gentiles" is falsely put for the "nations." "Church" is a word God never wrote: instead he called the meeting place "the assembly" both in the New and Old Testament. "The children of Israel" never existed as such, for the word, for "sons" is badly translated as "children." In many versions this occurs more than 500 times. Dead is either an adjective ("dead ones") or a verb ("to die"), (e.g. "he has died"). Also ("put to death") is from this verb, and most often translated as "cause to die". Usually, with most translations which have the same verb twice, one of the verbs will be replaced with an adverb. Only by going back to the each and every word of the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts can we ever attempt to have the purest translation. This is what we have tried to do with the KJ3 Bible - Literal Translation of the Bible.

The language can be both stilted and literary, but the insights provided in the ENT, the Etymological New Testament, are thought provoking. And, because the Elizabethan language of the ASV is often retained, the ENT is frequently poetic. Read and delight in the Affirmer of our Wholeness! WHAT ABOUT THE CRITICS? Yes, there will be negative reviews...particularly because some reviewers simply don't grasp the purpose of the ENT. Unfortunately, the critics have simply engaged in name calling rather than join in any significant discussion. "It's a joke!" or "I disagree!" or "Worthless" ETC. That is, there have been a couple of folks who throw around shallow epithets without any meaningful criticism. They behave like pseudo-intellectual academics. None of these negative reviewers has corresponded with the Editor to seriously discuss the ENT. None of them has asked questions at the Etymological New Testament website. www.etymologicalnewtestament.blogspot.com At that site, key issues, such as Etymology vs. Meaning, are, indeed, discussed. And, at that site, some have asked good questions and very helpful discussions have resulted. [The same can be said of Baker Book House's review of the ENT.] Of the negative book reviews below, the closest that one can find to a criticism of any significance is: "The God of the New Testament is not a Placer." Well, theologically speaking...of course not! Even in this criticism, the reviewer confuses a theological category with a linguistic one. The whole point of the ENT is for us to see, at a glance, many of the etymologies of key NT words. That's it! If one misapprehends the function of the Etymological New Testament, then, yes, it can seem disconcerting to read of a "same-uterus" or "Placer." The ENT is clearly a niche translation providing some ultra-literal information to enhance our contemplation of the NT text. If it drives us back to the original text (or a number of other literal translations) to reconsider and think through a passage yet again, then that is "mission accomplished!" Prior to their arrangement by Erasmus, the Greek texts had been faithfully copied by monk scribes through the generations. This textual criticism was cross-referenced by Young, that he could present his own work in the most consistently literal manner possible. Many of the analyses underpin the Greek Orthodox translations of the Gospels and New Testament, and date to the time of the Byzantine Empire. Many Greek and Hebrew terms which are oblique or mystifying are rendered in English, making Young's work an excellent supplement to Bible study. Given the structure of the languages Young studied, the sentences are not arranged as we would expect of English - however all make sense, and the narrative flow is uninterrupted. In addition, I have produced the forthcoming Disciples Literal New Testament (tentative title), which is a simplified version of this book, about one third its size. It is the same translation found in this volume, but now presented in paragraph format (no outline), with interpretive section headings and a few notes. Moving the translation to paragraph format required changes to the punctuation, and these are now incorporated into this volume as well. Some improvements to the outline structure of The New Testament TransLine were also made as an outcome of viewing the text in paragraphs. May God bless you as you study His Word, and may God use these two works according to His good pleasure. In contradiction to the tenor and direction of our current world, the Word of God will stand forever as objective truth corresponding to true reality from God's point of view.
