Partant du constat que les étudiants chinois de spécialité FLE dans les universités chinoises ont souvent des difficultés au niveau de la compréhension orale, nous avons décidé de concentrer nos efforts sur les traitements didactique et pédagogique de ce phénomène en recourant aux technologies éducatives. Notre hypothèse principale est que l'intégration des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication pour l'Enseignement (TICE) à l'enseignement - apprentissage du français langue étrangère (FLE) peut entraîner un perfectionnement de la compétence en compréhension du français oral des étudiants chinois. Cette thèse est une recherche-action dont la spécificité est d'allier la théorie et la pratique. Notre travail fait d'abord appel aux études théoriques sur le phénomène de compréhension orale en contexte d'apprentissage d'une langue étrangère, puis à celles sur les apports des TICE. Puis nous nous efforçons de réaliser une application contextualisée des données théoriques en milieu universitaire chinois, afin de dégager des principes pédagogiques pour notre objectif. Ces principes constituent aussi des références méthodologiques pour l'élaboration du projet et la mise en œuvre de notre expérimentation. Les résultats d'expérimentation servent à justifier notre hypothèse et nous permettent de déboucher sur de nouvelles propositions, un nouveau savoir-faire didactique et pédagogique, conformément au cycle de la recherche-action

Book excerpt: L'enseignement/apprentissage du FLE a été influencé par les TIC au cours des dernières années et nous constatons que les évolutions récentes sont difficilement observées en Irak, où les pratiques pédagogiques, en particulier avec les TIC, sont marquées par des contraintes spécifiques. Les équipements informatiques réduits et les pratiques intégrant le multimédia peu développées ne suscitent pas de pratiques innovantes telles que celles qui sont constatées au niveau mondial. Par ailleurs, le système éducatif et les méthodes utilisées en Irak pourraient aussi bénéficier de réformes permettant de faire évoluer les pratiques. Ainsi, cette recherche s"intéresse au changement de pratiques dans l"enseignement/apprentissage du FLE et à l"intégration des TIC comme un moteur pour celui-ci. Une recherche-action a été effectuée au sein de l"université de Mossoul afin de mesurer les pratiques et les représentations auprès de différentes catégories d"usagers. Des entretiens et des questionnaires ont ainsi permis de recueillir un certain nombre de données qui ont été analysées et vérifiées statistiquement. Ce travail a pour vocation de mettre l'accent sur l'utilité d'un dispositif innovant dans l"enseignement/apprentissage du FLE. Pour être en phase avec ce développement, et assurer, dans le contexte irakien, le recours aux plateformes envisagées, le dispositif se doit d'appréhender « le processus d'appropriation sociale » et tenir compte de trois niveaux d'intervention, macro, méso et micro, pour initier le changement. Grâce aux résultats obtenus au cours de la phase d"expérimentation, l"intégration de pratiques innovantes par le biais des TIC pourra sans doute devenir opérationnelle.

Book excerpt: Notre travail porte sur l'enseignement/apprentissage de la culture dans l'enseignement de la langue française et celui de la compétence interculturelle dans les départements de français des universités chinoises. Des incompréhensions et des malentendus apparaissent dans la communication entre les Chinois et les Français. Les étudiants chinois manifestent dans ce contexte d'enseignement / apprentissage du français des difficultés, autant d'ordre culturel que linguistique. A l'issue des entretiens réalisés en Chine et en France, nous nous sommes intéressée aux différences culturelles et aux dysfonctionnements relevés par les étudiants ainsi qu'à leurs attitudes et stratégies vis-à-vis de ces différences culturelles. Nous avons ensuite conduit une enquête auprès de l'équipe pédagogique en Chine et une analyse du manuel utilisé afin d'expliquer l'importance des différences constatées dans la méthode et les démarches d'enseignement. Nos deux hypothèses ont ainsi pu être validées : Les représentations des différences et des dysfonctionnements entre les étudiants chinois qui ont seulement un vécu scolaire du français (en Chine) et ceux qui ont vécu en France sont très différentes; l'importance de ces différences et l'intensité de ce décalage peuvent s'expliquer par le contenu et les démarches d'enseignement du français comme spécialité en milieu universitaire chinois qui préparent fort peu à la rencontre du milieu endolingue. Nous avons enfin proposé des pistes pédagogiques pour développer cette conscience interculturelle.

Elle porte exclusivement sur le développement de la compétence d'expression orale en français par le biais de l'échange écrit instantané en ligne. Nous sommes partis du constat selon lequel l'expression orale constituait un grand handicap chez les étudiants chinois et que les pratiques d'enseignement en classe présentielle étaient insuffisantes pour y remédier. Dans ce contexte, nous avons pensé aux TICE et posé la question : les TICE peuvent-elles aider à créer un dispositif d'enseignement/apprentissage qui bonifie les activités orales, complète l'enseignement du français oral et permette aux étudiants chinois en FLE d'améliorer significativement leur expression orale lorsqu'ils s'expriment en français ? Pour répondre à cette question principale qui a soutenu la rédaction de la présente recherche, nous avons centré nos efforts sur le traitement pédagogique de ce phénomène en nous référant à l'hypothèse selon laquelle l'échange écrit instantané en ligne, en tant que méthode auxiliaire, peut aider les étudiants chinois inscrits au programme de français langue étrangère, à perfectionner leur expression orale. L'examen de cette hypothèse, fondée sur l'alliance entre les principales théories de l'apprentissage et les technologies de l'information et de la communication pour l'enseignement, nous a permis de dévoiler la collaboration étroite qu'il y a entre expression écrite et expression orale pour l'amélioration de cette dernière chez les étudiants chinois. Les résultats issus de nos expérimentations ont à leur tour confirmés notre hypothèse, certes, mais ils ont également ouvert de nouvelles pistes de réflexion par rapport à la problématique que nous avons soulevée. Il faudra bien les explorer dans des recherches futures.

Author of the famous Treatise on Political Economy in 1803, which was revised and re-edited on several occasions, he published numerous other works including a voluminous Complete Course in Practical Political Economy in 1828–9. He also taught political economy successively from 1815 until his death in three Parisian establishments: the Athénée, the Conservatory of Arts and Trades, and the Collège de France. The texts in which Say exposes his approach to political economy have not been available in the English language until now except for the fourth edition of the ‘Preliminary Discourse’ which serves as an introduction to the Treatise. This book presents a translation which renders his works accessible to the English speaking world. For the first time, English readers will be able to become directly immersed in Say’s principal texts, where he develops his conception of political economy. Jean-Baptiste Say and Political Economy proposes a translation of a selection of eleven of Say’s texts. The first three are versions of the ‘Preliminary Discourse’ from the Treatise’s editions of 1803, 1814 and 1826 with the variations of the editions of 1817, 1819 and 1841. The following four texts are the opening discourses pronounced at the Conservatory in 1820 and 1828 and the Collège de France in 1831 and 1832. The eighth text is the ‘General Considerations’ which open the Complete Course in Practical Political Economy of 1828, with the variations of the 1840 re-edition. The final three texts are those Say devotes to ‘the progress of political economy’ in what is akin to a history of economic thought. This volume is of great importance to economic historians and people studying Jean-Baptiste Say, as well as those who are interested in economic theory and philosophy and political economy.
