Book Synopsis L'innovation scolaire aux risques de son évaluation by : Françoise Cros
Download or read book L'innovation scolaire aux risques de son évaluation written by Françoise Cros and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2004-07-01 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Recherches ouvertes sur le numérique written by PAPY Fabrice and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-06-01 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Handbook of Research on Enhancing Innovation in Higher Education Institutions by : Babi?, Verica
Download or read book Handbook of Research on Enhancing Innovation in Higher Education Institutions written by Babi?, Verica and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2020-03-27 with total page 695 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innovation in higher education is a process of institutional adaptation to changes in the environment that enables higher education institutions to improve their existing practice and to be innovative at different levels and in different forms. Moreover, innovativeness is also related to internal characteristics of higher education institutions. Innovation in higher education can be observed as a result of the changing contexts in which higher education institutions function. Adjacently, a comprehensive approach to considering innovativeness is needed in order to enable the examination of different elements of innovativeness in higher education, that is, to identify the key factors that (de)stimulate innovations and affect their interactions with other relevant stakeholders at the national level and beyond. The Handbook of Research on Enhancing Innovation in Higher Education Institutions is a critical scholarly book that examines innovativeness in higher education and its complications and diversity. Starting from the view that higher education is currently confronted by global forces that require new research ideas, the publication suggests that comprehensive understanding of innovativeness is imperative for higher education’s institutions in the 21st century. Analyzing the recognized trends within the publication and concluding which aspects should be taken to improve innovativeness in higher education, this reference book outlines quality and innovation in teaching, innovative university-business cooperation, institutional framework and governance of higher education institutions, knowledge management, and leadership and organizational culture. It is ideal for curriculum designers, administrators, researchers, policymakers, academicians, professionals, and students.

Download or read book Shadow Education written by Mark Bray and published by Asian Development Bank. This book was released on 2012-05-01 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In all parts of Asia, households devote considerable expenditures to private supplementary tutoring. This tutoring may contribute to students' achievement, but it also maintains and exacerbates social inequalities, diverts resources from other uses, and can contribute to inefficiencies in education systems. Such tutoring is widely called shadow education, because it mimics school systems. As the curriculum in the school system changes, so does the shadow. This study documents the scale and nature of shadow education in different parts of the region. Shadow education has been a major phenomenon in East Asia and it has far-reaching economic and social implications.

Book Synopsis Gender and Education in Luxembourg and Beyond by : Sylvie Kerger
Download or read book Gender and Education in Luxembourg and Beyond written by Sylvie Kerger and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2022-10-03 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this book is to provide a starting point for a discussion about gender and education in Luxembourg through national and international perspectives. The book is divided into three different, yet also overlapping, parts. The first part examines gender issues in nonformal and informal educational contexts, such as the home but also society at large. The second part of the book moves over to gender issues in formal education. And the third part of the book is devoted to gender considerations in working life. Exploring various aspects of gender and education and coming from a range of different backgrounds, the authors of this book all share a common endeavour: the fight against gender inequality and the belief in the importance of an egalitarian education. The hope is that this book will provide a point of departure for a reflection on existing educational practices – in Luxembourg and beyond.
Book Synopsis Singapore's Permanent Territorial Revolution by : Rodolphe De Koninck
Download or read book Singapore's Permanent Territorial Revolution written by Rodolphe De Koninck and published by NUS Press. This book was released on 2017-05-19 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ever since Singapore became an independent nation in 1965, its government has been intent on transforming the island’s environment. This has led to a nearly constant overhaul of the landscape, whether still natural or already manmade. Not only are the shape and dimensions of the main island and its subsidiary ones constantly modified so are their relief and hydrology. No stone is left unturned, literally, and, one could add, nor is a single cultural feature, be it a house, a factory, a road or a cemetery. Given one of Singapore’s unique feature, namely that the state is the sole landlord, all types of property in all parts of the island, rural as well as urban, were and remain subject to expropriation, fortunately always with due compensation. This atlas illustrates, essentially through diachronic mapping of the changing distribution of all forms of land use, the universality of what has become a tool of social management. By constantly “replanning” the rules of access to space, the Singaporean State is thus redefining territoriality, even in its minute details. This is one reason it has been able to consolidate its control over civil society, peacefully and to an extent rarely known in history.
