Book excerpt: Kaci King learned early on in life that everything has a purpose, even though the purpose may not be easily seen. After developing a lasting friendship with a disabled neighbor during her childhood, Kaci never realized that his attitude about life?s toughest challenges would inspire her years later as she faced the most difficult years of her life. Three years after Kaci and her husband, Rea, married, their beautiful daughter was born. Although Madi incessantly cried, everyone assumed she was just a strong-willed child. Twenty months later, a baby boy joined their family. Everything seemed normal, until Austin began showing little interest in eating. As Kaci details the frustrating path that finally led her to receive a shocking diagnosis for both children?craniosynostosis and chiari malformation?she shares a poignant story through journal entries and personal narratives that reveal how she became an advocate for her children, learned to navigate through a complex medical system, and launched a determined search for help that eventually led her to an angel in disguise: Dr. Ben Carson. Light Will Emerge shares one mother?s journey to find help for her children during a medical crisis that will inspire parents and caregivers to persevere through their own struggles and realize that hope can exist, even during the darkest of days. In all, the book journeys the reader through two dozen surgeries sharing tribulations to triumph as the children beat all odds, accomplishing more than anyone ever expected including four World Champion titles.

Book Synopsis Teachings of Tibetan Yoga by : Garma C. C. Chang
Download or read book Teachings of Tibetan Yoga written by Garma C. C. Chang and published by Pickle Partners Publishing. This book was released on 2016-10-27 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author-translator of this book was born in China of aristocratic parentage some fifty years ago. In early youth he became the disciple of a Buddhist Guru in a part of China near Tibet. His Guru sent him to Tibet to further his training. After eight years in Tibetan monasteries, six of them under one Guru, he went to school in the West to study animal husbandry and bring his knowledge hack to Tibet. The Communist victory in China and the Communist invasion of Tibet cut him off from returning. His devotion to Tibetan Buddhism is now expressed by translating into English its hitherto unknown teachings. This Book is an extremely concentrated introduction to the mental, physical, and spiritual exercises of Tibetan Buddhism, emphasizing the practice of Yoga exercises. The key to its understanding is the learning of Dumo—the generating of internal heat in one’s body. Dumo’s special meaning for Tibetan Yoga flows from the profoundly anti-ascetic and anti-pessimistic doctrine of Tantric Buddhism. The author means precisely what he says when he explains that opposites are also inseparable unities and that the best example of this is that the human body-mind can be made into the body of Buddha. Sexual bliss can become divine bliss. This work will both introduce the reader to the tranquility of yoga and, at the same time, lead him to explorations in the field of erotic mysticism. Richly illustrated throughout.

Download or read book Spiritpower written by John Barazzuol and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2008 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spiritpower is written for all those who are interested in exploring the field of spirit; it specifically appeals to those who have already begun an active search for their spirit. It offers support, encouragement and direction to those who somehow got lost along the way, yet still have a need for a life in the spirit. Spiritpower is composed of two texts, The Manual and The Revolutionary Handbook, that are woven together into a single text. The Manual offers a step-by-step, inner healing journey that takes the participant through the process of unification with the higher self or spirit within. While The Manual offers instructions on how to directly contact and develop an on-going relationship with the spirit, The Revolutionary Handbook informs on what to expect and what lies ahead in the new spiritual frontier. The handbook offers a survey of the “future history” of the inner spiritual life of the 21st century. The handbook prophesizes spiritual events of our century and is based on the vision of spirit beings living and working in and through the minds and bodies of their human counterparts.
