Download or read book Let's Have Coffee written by Marta Kluft and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2012-12-20 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ,p>At twenty-six, single and living in her native Brazil, Marta Kluft was on a mission. Her assignment was to entertain a lonesome, well-educated, male leper. She was filling in for her mother and grandmother, who had held that post for many years. Their letters to Mr. Jacob were filled with Bible Scriptures, and he took it all in. To show his appreciation, Mr. Jacob called them every three months. Since Marta did not know the Bible, she was going to need to use another approach, in order to befriend him. A brief suggestion from her Creator pointed Marta in the right direction: she was going to share her personal experiences. She had accumulated plenty of those. Marta Kluft grew up in two continents: North and South America. She was also very fortunate to have travelled extensively in both. With such a background, it was only natural that unusual situations would emerge along the way. Armed with a typewriter, Marta began to introduce her past to Mr. Jacob. Her stories became an instant success and were circulated throughout the entire leper colony where Mr. Jacob lived. Marta also received numerous, happy phone calls from her newfound friend. Now in her senior years, Marta Kluft has made those same stories available to the public, via her first publication, Lets Have Coffee.

The thriller romance gives an intimate glimpse into the lives of IAF personnel and showcases the technological capabilities of the service that invariably gets the first call to action. The novel’s plot is woven around three brilliant and passionate characters who stay in perfect harmony despite cross wired attractions, out of deep respect for each other. Triumph in Surrender illustrates how, when reposed with freedom and trust by their governments, the karamvir yodhas of this world can ward off the most diabolic threats to civilized life; evil exists only where goodness is mute or shackled. The book cover doesn’t allude to it, but the narrative proclaims it loudly - the karamvir yodhas of today are as often women, as men.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Edgar Award Finalist: The explosive politics of the Middle East shatter a California family in this “wonderful thriller” (The New York Times). Among the Tylers of Santa Clara are a matriarch lauded as the first lady of American theater, a judicial appointee of the president, a noted fundraiser for international charities, a university vice-chancellor, and an esteemed and admired surgeon. The Tylers are, in their own words, “worthy of Paradise.” Then, a violently anti-US Middle Eastern leader sends his son to California to be treated by the young Dr. Michael Tyler. The king’s deal: Save his “little prince,” and the lives of the twenty-eight American hostages languishing in his prison will be spared. And there’s another caveat: The agreement must be kept secret. But there’s one more Tyler to contend with. Rufus Tyler is the family “lemon in the basket,” an underachiever who has finally found his moment in history. By exposing his family to the press as conspirators in a terrorist’s negotiation, Rufus will do more than breach the walls of privacy. He will plunge his family into the dangerous waters of international politics. As unfounded fears and dreadful rumors take hold, an inevitable and shocking act of violence will threaten not only the Tylers, but also the fate of the entire country. Upon the original publication of Lemon in the Basket, an Edgar Award finalist for Best Novel, Dorothy B. Hughes wrote that Charlotte Armstrong should stand “with the immortal ladies of suspense—Rinehart and Sayers, Marsh and Tey” (Los Angeles Times).

This is complemented with many real-life examples that help to apply the concepts to readers’ own specific contexts. The second part describes the principles of introducing Scrum in detail, while the third part embarks on the practical application of these principles, drawing on a wealth of experience gathered in many successful introduction projects. Part four focuses on a detailed case study of a Scrum transformation before part five provides, in closing, a number of appendices offering extensive information on Scrum and its principles.

In this series of personal stories, Jourdane shares how she found herself homeless on the outskirts of Melbourne at age fifty when an autoimmune disease struck her down. She lost everything, but her will to survive remained. Each story offers a unique message and speaks to those who are on a personal self-development journey. In Things I Did When No One Was Watching, she narrates how these events taught her something about mortality and life as it truly is in its raw state. We cannot gloss over it, but we can seek the truth inside the universe of our souls. Once we know our moral birthrights, we are able to face anything.
