Son indication se pose en chirurgie dentaire, dans le cas de comblement des sillons naso-géniens, ainsi que des lèvres. Le chirurgien-dentiste est un professionnel de santé qui maîtrise les traitements autour de la sphère orale ainsi que dans la région péribuccale, il est par conséquent formé à l'anatomie de celle-ci. Les injections d'acide hyaluronique en zone péribuccale sont permises au chirurgien-dentiste, et malgré la simplicité de l'acte, ce geste est très peu pratiqué. Le but de cette thèse est d'exposer les différentes indications des injections d'acide hyaluronique par le chirurgien-dentiste, et de montrer la simplicité de ce geste qui peut trouver son intérêt dans le complément des traitements de réhabilitation prothétique globale. A travers la littérature scientifique, nous allons dans un premier temps étudier les plans anatomiques concernant la région péribuccale, ainsi que les critères esthétiques intéressant les injections. Nous allons ensuite nous focaliser sur la molécule de l'acide hyaluronique et sur les réglementations qui encadrent son utilisation dans la pratique dentaire. Enfin nous allons étudier les indications, le protocole clinique et les complications qui peuvent apparaitre suite aux injections.
