Book Synopsis The Mvengian Vision of Anthropological Pauperization by : Hermann-Habib Kibangou
Download or read book The Mvengian Vision of Anthropological Pauperization written by Hermann-Habib Kibangou and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2022-09-15 with total page 79 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, we pay particular attention to a son of Africa who opened up to reflection, research and "armed himself with science to the teeth", to restore to Africa--without complacency or false modesty--its true image: Engelbert Mveng. Our approach, which focuses solely on his theory of anthropological pauperization, can be in our humble opinion--and probably is--a path for philosophical reflection on the ntu. Anthropological pauperization is a reflection of the African man, of the ntu, on his being-there and on his becoming.

Book Synopsis EDUCATION-TRAINING-EMPLOYMENT, THE KEY TO AFRICA'S DEVELOPMENT IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION by : Dr. Henry N. Tatangang
Download or read book EDUCATION-TRAINING-EMPLOYMENT, THE KEY TO AFRICA'S DEVELOPMENT IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION written by Dr. Henry N. Tatangang and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-05-16 with total page 621 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No one argues today that our world is modern. History teaches us that this modernity is the fruit of an evolution. This evolution that is the mainstream direction of world history has not been uniform on the entire face of the earth. At certain periods, in certain parts, localities, or countries of the world, changes and transformations took revolutionary forms. These changes and transformations are the result of the combination of factors. While some are involuntary, some are desired and sought for. The impacts of these changes and transformations affect the environment, life settings, as well as the lives of the people who are at their origin. The effects of changes and evolutions have taught human beings that change outcomes on the environment, on life setting, and to life itself can be induced. It is to these voluntary and planned transformations at the level of a community, a country, or group of countries from one continent to another, from one part of the world to another, has led to their classification as rich or poor, developed or underdeveloped. Other classifications place countries in three categories: developed countries (first world), emergent countries (second world), underdeveloped countries (third world).

Book Synopsis Développement, inégalités, pauvretés by : Nicola Maria Boccella
Download or read book Développement, inégalités, pauvretés written by Nicola Maria Boccella and published by KARTHALA Editions. This book was released on 2005 with total page 440 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Dans l'essai introductif Growth and Inegality.

Download or read book Maîtrise de l'espace et développement en Afrique written by and published by KARTHALA Editions. This book was released on 2010 with total page 350 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis The Anthropology of Africa: Challenges for the 21st Century by : Nkwi, Paul Nchoji

This book was released on 2015-02-03 with total page 656 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1999 (August 30 - September 2) the Pan African Anthropological Association (PAAA) marked the 10th anniversary of its creation by holding its 9th Annual Conference in Yaounde, Cameroon - the city and country of its birth. The conference, themed "The Anthropology of Africa: Challenges for the 21st Century", was attended by some seventy participants, mostly African. Among the international participants was Dr Sydel Silverman, President of the Wenner Gren Foundation at the time - a long term partner of the PAAA; she was present at the inaugural conference in 1988. The conference proceedings were initially published in 2000 with very limited circulation. Given the continued relevance of the papers presented, and in view of the call by the President of the PAAA for African anthropologists to reunite anthropological theory and practice in the teaching programmes of African universities, the PAAA is pleased to republish the proceedings of its landmark 9th Annual Conference. The book consists of forty three divided into eight parts, namely: i) teaching anthropology in the decades ahead; ii) Health Challenges: HIV/AIDS Anthropological Perspectives; iii) NGOS: Use and Misuse of Anthropology; iv) Anthropological Focus on Environment; v) Some Applied Issues in Anthropology; vi) The African Family in Crisis; vii) Ethnicity and Ethnic Conflicts; and viii) Population issues and anthropology: Fertility Crisis. Paul Nkwi concludes his introduction to the volume with these words: "The Anthropology of Africa will remain for a long time, fundamentally applied if it is to meet the challenges of the 21st Century."

Book Synopsis Recherches ouvertes sur le numérique by : PAPY Fabrice
Download or read book Recherches ouvertes sur le numérique written by PAPY Fabrice and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-06-01 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
