Book excerpt: L'expansion de l'agriculture biologique (AB) est une piste pour réduire les impacts de l'agriculture sur l'environnement. Toutefois, en raison de ses rendements plus faibles, elle pourrait conduire à plus de compétition entre alimentation animale et humaine (feed/food), à des changements d'utilisation des sols et des émissions de CO2. La finalité de ce travail est de calculer des coefficients de transformation définies par les quantités de matières premières pour produire une tonne de viande de porc. Pour cela, un outil de formulation d'aliments porcins et une démarche de calcul de coefficients ont été créé puis validé en testant des scénarios d'évolution de l'élevage conventionnel et AB. L'outil de formulation combine les connaissances sur les matières premières disponibles dans la littérature et sur le terrain (entretiens de professionnels). Il formule des aliments avec une approche multiobjectifs : réduction des coûts et/ou de la compétition feed/food. En plus des coefficients de transformation, la démarche simule les performances des animaux et les impacts environnementaux. Le test de scénario met en évidence que les formules AB contiennent moins de céréales et plus de matières protéiques que les conventionnelles. Elles conduisent à des croissances réduites, des carcasses plus maigres, une augmentation des rejets d'N et de P, de l'occupation du sol mais à une diminution de la consommation d'énergie non renouvelable et des impacts sur le changement climatique. En AB, la réduction de la compétition feed/food est plus difficile qu'en élevage conventionnel car elle augmente plus fortement le prix des formules et les impacts environnementaux. Les coefficients calculés dans ce stage seront utilisés pour simuler des bilans d'utilisation des ressources des produits agricoles, les échanges internationaux et le changement d'affectation des terres.
